I ordered pick up service and was unpleasantly surprised when I paid $19 for three stuffed shells. I also upcharged my salad to a ceaser for an additional $2, and didn't get what I paid for. I'll stick to dining-in for pizza only going forward.

I have been here several times and not sure why I continue to go back. I believe this will be the last time. The food is not really good the service is never really good because they are always short staffed. Time to call it quits. It never gets better.

Terrible!!!!! I have ordered a few times here and there is always a problem with my order. They never take responsibility for their mistakes and they blame the doordash drivers for either eating whats missing or forgetting to grab it. One time the pizza tastes like chlorine. This salad was $20 nothing like the picture. Service is terrible!!!! Never ordering from here again!

The spaghetti and meatballs have no flavor and the pizza was really cold! And we dine in and not take out. Horrible place to eat!

I had an Uber order with a double pickup—your restaurant and another one. You were the first stop. I ended up waiting for half an hour. Your dining area was empty, and a few people were waiting for takeout. Six employees couldn’t handle a couple of customers.
That’s why I rated your service a 1. As for the food, I’ll stay silent. Again, I waited 30 minutes for just two pizzas. During that time, one of the customers from my delivery canceled, and the other did too. I lost both time and the order because of your delay. So, you got a 1 for service.

Our first time ordering food from here. Tried a meat lovers pizza plus onion, we felt it was very good. Because we didn't feel like going out we ordered delivery...big mistake. Mama Rita's uses Door Dash. Our driver didn't feel the need to keep the pizza level during the ride, so it slid to one side. That allowed grease to get to the wax paper liner, which stuck to the bottom of the pizza. Ultimately we decided we would recommend the pizza, but don't have it delivered!

Excellent New York style pizza. We also got a Sicilian upside down pizza and it was delicious. Service was great and friendly.

As we entered the special board looked to have a good selection, however upon ordering we were in formed that the board was from the weekdays, so we needed to reorder, however as we were leaving specials board was still out front, service was great, waitress was very attentive.
Food was OK, not great, as this was our first visit (just moved to the area), we tried a slice of the pizza and and a meal, pizza was good, I would say a 7 out of 10, my wife ordered an antipasto salad, was OK, missing pepperoni (which waitress corrected, also missing egg (didn’t bother pointing out as we pepperoni was just received).
I ordered the meatball parm grinder, meatballs were Luke warm / cheese was good, not overly thrilled with the meatballs, lacked enough sauce, but that is personally specific, bread brought to table was very good.
Seemed like the crew in back were screwing around that may have been the issue, I would go back for pizza and possibly try the wings / knowing the specials are not offered on the weekends.

We tried Mama Rita’s for the first time and this was the portion size for the ravioli dinner. Since we’ve never eaten there, I wasn’t sure if this was the usual portion size, but five pieces of ravioli for $18 seems very steep and not a lot for your money. I’d love to give Mama Rita’s another try and maybe try a different dish next time, but this makes me nervous to do so. This was a takeout order and this photo was taken as soon as the meal was taken out of the bag.

Review of Local Restaurant
UPDATE: I am very appreciative to Vinny for reaching out. He made this not great experience right. I appreciate the offer for lunch but that is really not necessary all I requested was done and the issues are being addressed. The food is good and I look forward to more great dining. Again, Thank you Vinny for reaching out. As you can see my rating has changed.
I am giving this restaurant a one-star rating due to my experience with Justin, who appears to be the manager or possibly a part-owner. I visited with a friend from Mt. Dora on Tuesday, a place I frequent, and I recommended it for lunch. They offer a great lunch menu, including six wings and a beer for $12.99. Since I don’t drink beer, I asked a staff member if I could substitute a soda, and she confirmed that I could.
However, during my most recent visit, today, Thursday, when I placed my order at the register, the cashier informed me that it would be cheaper to order the wings separately and add a drink. This resulted in a subtotal of over $15. I questioned this, and the cashier mentioned something about beer service, which didn’t relate to my request.
I asked to speak with the manager, Justin, with whom I had a prior negative experience. He was defensive and corrected me when I mistakenly said I visited on Monday, claiming they were closed that day. After showing him my bank charge from Tuesday, he remained unyielding and insisted that I shouldn’t have been served on that day. Ultimately, I requested to void my order, which he did without concern. The best customer service practice was to apologize for the misunderstanding on Tuesday, honor it today, and nicely explain that they would not be able to substitute a soda for a beer in the future. Which, of course, Justin did not do.
I inquired about the owner's name, but he refused. However, I quickly found out through a Google search that the owner is Vinny and a person named Justin. I will refrain from using last names. When I returned to confirm this, Justin first said the name i mentioned was his last name, but he immediately denied it was him.
In summary, Justin needs to improve his customer service skills. The restaurant is now closed on Mondays due to staffing issues, which I believe is linked to his management, if he treats his employees like his customers. I hope the actual owner reaches out to me, as I enjoy the food but find the service unacceptable.
Great NY style pizza!!!
