Dave's Oyster Bar and Grill

We’ve never ever had a bad meal at Dave’s! In this small of a town and the lack of good food options, this is one of the only three food spots we choose to put our money towards. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is always top notch. I’ve never received immaculate serves consistently anywhere else.

We keep coming back because of the quality of the food, ambiance and service is fantastic!

Writing this review due to a recent incident regarding food poisoning between two individuals close to me. One consumed Oysters while the other consumed Shrimp. Both had food poisoning lasting for several days. The individual who ate oysters had symptoms dissipate within 48 hours, while the other still has symptoms and is currently in the ER. More will follow up if need be.

We are here on vacation and passed this and decided to try it out. My husband had the shrimp d'val, and it was just so so. The sauce tasted like some sort of soup with celery cooked into it. My daughter and I had the catfish, and it was awful. Two very big pieces of fish on the plates, and it was extremely strong fishy tasting. The waitress did, however, take the fish off of our ticket, but also made a point to let us know people had been eating it all day with no complaints. Was also very noisy inside.

Had a wonderful dinner at Dave’s. Food was amazing and service was even better. Crystal went above and beyond. Looking forward to our next visit.

I live two miles away from Dave's and my family has been there several times, usually with a good result. Not last night. We arrived at 8:00 pm and there were about four tables seated. We were gently "pushed" to sit at the bar, and later I knew why. We ordered at 8:09 and they were already cleaning the place, even sweeping and mopping the floors. We felt rushed to get out of there to say the least. At 8:31 the food came, and we decided to get it to go, as they were sweeping around our chairs. The special signs came in at 8:30 and the open sign was off. I wondered when closing was, and it was 9 pm. Listen, I get wanting to get out of there on time, but I have never felt like my wife and I were just not really welcomed at that time of night. I told her I will never be back. There are other seafood restaurants around with better food and they don't make you feel like you are intruding on their clean up process one hour before closing.
