Walked into Dada’s Kitchen thinking I was a man. Walked out as a sentient drum of pikliz on a quest for truth. First bite of griyo and my jaw dislocated—not from pain, but from respect. The pork was so tender it apologized to my ancestors as I ate it. My fork bent under the emotional weight.
The black rice? A haunted forest of umami. I swear I heard it hum a lullaby in Creole. The plantains initiated me into a secret society of flavor sorcerers. I now have a tattoo of one on my sternum. I didn’t ask for it. It appeared.
Oxtail? Bro. The meat slid off the bone like a ghost escaping purgatory. The sauce tasted like if thunder learned how to love.
Then came the passion fruit juice. I drank it. Time stopped. The lights flickered. A woman across the room aged backward into a baby, then forward again into a swan. No one blinked.
Staff were glowing. Possibly angels. One whispered, “You were always meant to be here.” I cried. Into my rice. It made it better.
5/5 stars. This place is a portal. Eat here only if you’re ready to face your truest self… and feed them fried plantains.

The food looks absolutely delicious. I have never eaten at Dada's kitchen(love the name btw) can you please come to the Gainesville area. The rich authentic Haitian taste is very little here. I searched for Haitian food near me and Mi apa popped up🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. Also there is a new app that connects people to Haitian food near them called Kobey you can sign your restaurant up for it. All results for my area were like 98 miles from me in Orlando. Anyways, have a wonderful rest of your evening(sorry the paragraph). ❤️❤️
There’s no words to express how great my experience was. The oxtail was well seasoned and falling straight off the bone! I also ordered the brown rice with pork along with the homemade passion fruit juice and it was delicious. This will definitely be my go to spot whenever I’m in the area.
Very rude angry woman cooking the food. The food is disgusting…….this is not real Haitian food 🤢. The black rice was stale and the meat was cold. Absolutely zero flavor in the rice and meat. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had while buying Haitian food. I also waited 1 hr 🗑️
She’s really nice, the food is really good. The service was top tier!!
Best Haitian food hands down fresh and cooked in the spot and they treat you like family 🔥🇭🇹
The price of the food is not worthy the food itself, my black rice was so dry, the oxtails were disgusting, if your in the area please look somewhere else or check out the Mexican food truck next to them.

The people at Dada's Kitchen were wonderful. Reminds me of my Aunty's cooking. Love the fried turkey. Chef kiss. Her black rice was on point. If you are in the Davenport area come through and try out authentic Haitian Cusinee. Wasn't disappointed. 😊😊😊
Every time I eat here the food is always 10/10. 100% Authentic Haitian food. Great portion sizes and leaves me full each visit.
Whewwww!! I don’t even know where to start! I’ve been following Dada’s Kitchen online via instagram for sometime, I was in town for business and knew I would have to stop by!!

I can’t leave out the GRANDE FINALE…drumroll pleassse…THAT PASSION FRUIT JUICE (non alcoholic)…baybeeee it will leave you feeling like you teleported straight back to Haiti…vintage Haiti that is! 🍹
