I finally tried the birria bombs I kept seeing on TikTok, and honestly, they were just okay. I was expecting a lot more flavor, but they were stuffed with cheese, meat, and RICE(did not expect that). Definitely felt a little overhyped. The red salsa on the side did help and gave it a nice kick, but overall, not as impressive as I thought it would be.

This Mexican food truck is the real deal! Everything tastes fresh and homemade, with that true authentic flavor. Personally, my favorite dish is the birria tacos the meat is juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned, and every bite is so savory. The tortillas are soft and fresh, and you can really tell they put love into the food. The service is fast and friendly, and the prices are great for the quality you get. If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, this is definitely the spot to check out!

Absolutely delicious Birria!! Try the Tacos, especially the Carne Asada estilo Birria Tacos - my absolute favorite! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Amazing service and owned by wonderful people. 😊

My sons and I were in town visiting for a few days and we were looking for something off the beating path to try with local flare. We found the World of Food Trucks and came across La Coolmena while walking around. My son wanted to try either the loaded nachos or street tacos, so he decided on the loaded nachos. The attendant taking the order acted as if we were interrupting her when we ordered. We paid for the food and my son waited while I perused the location a little more. I placed an order at another vendor to have variety for us to try. While waiting on the food, my son came back a little disappointed because he was given loaded fries rather than nachos. He said the young lady would not replace them. I walked over to the food truck to discuss because he ordered the nachos. She argued for five minutes that he ordered the fries and kept holding up the ticket that was incorrectly entered by the previous attendant. She said she did not speak English well and proceeded to type a message on her phone saying, “Oh what a shame the boy ordered the wrong thing. Too bad.” I stood there and prepared to call my credit card company for the transaction. She then called the owner and said something to him. She gave me the phone and I spoke with him and explained what happened. I wasn’t looking for a refund or order cancellation; I merely wanted the order prepared to match what my son ordered. The owner obliged and had them prepare the order appropriately, however the presentation was sloppy and the chips were stale. It appeared the order was prepared out of frustration and no care was provided. I wasted 15 minutes trying to get what I originally ordered and it was not prepared appropriately, which was disappointing… Thanks to the owner for doing what’s right, but unfortunately he can’t control what his staff does when he is not present.

At La Colmena the food is excellent, good flavor, with a lot of quality, at least in my experience I have no complaints, like everything it could be better in some aspects but everything is very good.

They give you whatever food item they want rather than what you actually order. I went there on a Saturday and order a #3. As you can see in the pictures, there is a menu discrepancy. I pointed this out to the worker as soon as I realized my receipt showed I was going to receive tacos rather than the birria bombs I anticipated. While the mistake is clearly visible on the truck, the cashier was rude and denied this issue when I asked for the correct menu item I ordered. I was told I would not be receiving birria bombs, the worker stated the menu was not wrong, and they did not have any birria bombs at that time, which their menu also didn’t reflect nor was this mentioned by the worker ahead of time. Instead, the el completo tacos were all they could offer me and no refund either. The food itself was okay. For only selling birria, I was expecting better. They forgot the consumé but the meat was moist and flavorful, simply not the best. Lastly, they were a bit overpriced and the wait was long. Had it not been for this encounter, I likely would’ve had a better perspective of this place but the tacos themselves were about a 8/10 in my opinion. I did not try the rice or beans. PLEASE FIX YOUR MENU!!

Came here before and it was fire. Today, thr ramen was not cooked, the meal was cold, and it was literally no meat on it. I asked them could they replace it and they just looked at me like I was crazy.

5 Dry steak street tacos for $19, the “steak” isn’t like regular Mexican steak tacos. They do market a lot of Birria food items so maybe stick to the birria for this truck.

My wife and I came to try this truck at the world of food trucks. We waited over 40 minutes for 4 birria tacos. The girls did not seem like they had control over the truck, they ignored you when you tried to come to the window to inquire about your food. I would recommend you choose another truck if you want to eat your food timely. When I finally got someone to come to the window my order was just sitting there and they had never called my number. The box was covered in oil and the food presentation was not it. The tacos were dry and very very greasy. The consume was very bland and the tacos were mostly cheese. Overall they need a lot of help to get to a good place.
