Everything was great with the service and the staff. I ordered the grouper sandwich and it was fresh and tasty except maybe a little overcooked. My husband had the Rawlings burger which he loved. The onion rings were perfect! This is the place to get the best Amaretto Sour!

This is a gem in the midst of Florida back roads. Amber was great, the food was fabulous, and the rustic atmosphere was down home. We explored the entire restaurant while our food was being prepared. A huge library of books, nostalgia hung on the walls, some vinyl 45s and a mini museum of local wildlife. Will definitely return on one our road trips.

Would love to rate food, but after being seated we never saw the waitress again until she came by to get drink orders from the table seated before us. God knows how long they had to wait, but they were starting to get loud. Place was empty and saw probably 4 staff members.

An experience to behold. The atmosphere is exceptional, old Florida. We had gator bites and venison sandwiches, just awesome.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place during our travels. We decided to stop in to grab some food. Glad we did. The looks of the interior are like you would find in a old time out in the middle of nowhere Florida restaurant.

We ordered the Venison appetizer and the fried pickles. The Venison was not gamey at all and cooked just right. The fried pickles had just the right amount of batter and a great dill taste.

For the main dishes i ordered the Gator which was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. My wife ordered the Frog Legs/Gator/Catfish sampler. All 3 cooked to perfection with great taste.

We will definitely be back the next time passing through the area!

I live nearby this restaurant, and every once in awhile we give it a try again, always to our disappointment. We keep hoping it will improve, and serve great ole time Fla Cracker meals…we are always sooo wrong.

Getting cocktails took forever, as we watched at least 3 waitresses just standing around. And, the restaurant was nearly empty, not busy.

We love absolutely love Grouper, and order it in restaurants when we can. So, we were shocked when we overheard one of the waitresses tell another couple “Grouper is fishy tasting.” And, she wouldn’t recommend it. An unbelievable statement! We had both just ordered Grouper. I had ordered collards as a side.

Over $100+ later, leaving half eaten meals of rock-hard, overcooked Grouper, dry baked potatoes, and green beans instead of collards we once again vowed to never go back.

We highly recommend going to Stumpknockers if you want a great, real ole fashioned Fla Cracker meal. We went there a week after, what a great atmosphere on a river, service, food, and price all unbelievable!!!

Great hole-in-the wall restaurant that's got a rustic flair. Everything I've had has been hot and fresh. Service is always great. They've got neat antique books for sale and cool stuffed animals in the back.
