I'm so glad that we decided to go for dinner on a Friday night. As an appetizer as we ordered the Yucca Frita , since they didn't have mariquitas. The Yucca Frita was so fresh and nice and crispy!! Really good!! My brother ordered the pollo a la plancha, he also enjoyed his plate very much! The rice and beans were very very flavorful.

Tried this spot before with my friend and I am addicted since then. I loved the excellent vibes and fresh food and drinks. Fantastic work.

The establish may not be that fancy when it comes to décor but don't let that fool you. The food is spectacular with generous proportions at a fair price. If you have children, there is no children's menu so be ready to take some food home. Our waitress went way above our expectations in regards to catering to our children. She turned on cartoons for them to watch; of course we were the only patrons at the time. We would definitely recommend this place and will be returning!

I went there for breakfast. Great services. Atmosphere was good. Great presentation of food. Food was good.

We always opt for the 'Salteado de Pollo' w/ white rice (of course, Cuban girl here!) and papitas fritas with an Inka Cola. So damn delicious and fulfilling. We get the salteado for two, but since their portions are a good size- you could split it amongst up to four people.

Found this place in Yelp and thought we should give it a try. When we walked in the place was quiet. There was only one person at the bar. We looked at the menu ready to order soon after. After we were ready to order, another couple was seated behind us. The waiter took their order before us even though we told him we were ready. It soon became apparent that they were famous from a tv show. After waiting 15 minutes, he took our order. Soon after the couple ordered their food came out in less than 20 minutes. Our food however came out in almost 45 minutes however. Once the food came out it looked appetizing and tasted delicious but here in Hialeah there are a lot of excellent restaurants available with better service. Later when it came to paying the bill, we waited awhile for our change. Although the food was good, here in Hialeah there are a lot of good restaurants available also.

Great place but looks like the staff needs more help. Depends on the day of the week i guess but our order took a looong time both times we ate there. I will say the people working there are very nice and great but overwhelmed at times and it can be a while till you are served.

Another hole in the wall mom and pops place that comes through and the price is not bad. The Gordo's Sampler was very filling. Had a little bit of everything but the main course which was the Chicken Vaca Frita was very good. The chicken was a bit dry but the morros and plantains were on point. If you are in area of HIaleah and want some good Cuban food stop by and enjoy. Will be back again.

If you ever grew up in this part of Hialeah during the 80s and 90s, this place brings back nostalgic memories of a Cuban restaurant that used to be at the Colonial Shopping Center (where the Walgreens is now).

This place was absolutely delicious! I found this Hidden Gem through Yelp and I'm so glad that we decided to go for dinner on a Friday night. As an appetizer as we ordered the Yucca Frita , since they didn't have mariquitas. The Yucca Frita was so fresh and nice and crispy!! Really good!! Since I am vegetarian I asked for a regular Cuban sandwich but without the Meat. Our waitress and the chef were very accommodating to make it into a veggie sandwich. The sandwich was so huge, I only could eat half of it. The fries were so delicious! I also ordered a side of arroz moro. The arroz moro was so good! I definitely recommend. My boyfriend ordered the pollo a la plancha, he also enjoyed his plate very much! The rice and beans were very very flavorful. Definitely will come back here! The food was delicious, the service was great.

Been to Alamo for brunch on Sundays a few times. Their vaca frita sandwich is....AMAZING! It is my favorite. They also have some drink specials and a whole Cuban food menu. The service has always been prompt and nice. They have local beers on tap, too!

Really have no idea where to start here. So if you are anywhere in the Miami area and want some seriously authentic, filling all around incredible grub. Please find a way to make it here. It's a small hole in the wall spot, but this one is the real deal. A hole in the wall that deserves to world renowned. So my buddy and fellow yelper and I wanted to meet up for lunch to catch up and eat good. And we landed here. One of my better decisions I must say. So we get there and the chef / owner took us in and treated us like we were family. You can tell when someone loves and cares about what they do and this guy did that and then some. He was super friendly and took us through the craft beers he had. I mean craft beers in a hole in the wall... legit in my books, but it gets better. He let us try each one and then I mean I just can't say enough about him. Superb and what every business owner should strive to be. He sets the standard in any business not just good grub. Anyways, we started with the sampler and he was out of something so he replaced it with another item for no upcharge even though we added calamari. It came with pork chunks that were to die for. Juicy tender smotherd in onions and a garlic( scampi like sauce) and croquettes wow wow wow best croquettes I've ever had in my life. And fried yuca and obviously the calamari. Listen the sampler of all samplers this is what my dreams are made of and it was all absolutely scrumptious. Then I proceeded to follow that with pork chops with asparagus and two massive tostones. The pork chops every single bite was perfect. Perfectly cooked not over seasoned you really get the flavor of the meat the way it should be. And no better way to finish a meal esp a Cuban meal with a twist than a beautiful cortadito. Everything this dude serves up is gold go check my mans place out. There's a sign in there that says yelps top 50 places to eat in 2018 and comes in at #18. Excuse me while I quote drake, *clears throat* "top 5 top 5 top 5" ! Yelp and fellow yelpers can we get my dude a new sign, please !!!!
