I can't say anything but amazing things about this restaurant from the owner to the amazing food ! Me and my husband love it here their food is very homemade and declicious they might take a lil long making it but it's for a reason because everything is fresh ! This place deserves more good reviews. The food is so delicious my husband and I come almost every day the owner knows us and is super friendly and nice with us. If it had 10 stars I would've gaven it 10 stars !!

Small, clean and cool! I loved how well the AC worked in there, it made walking all the way from E 1 ave worth the walk! The food made my day too! 2$ for one nice large piece of empanada full of meat bigger than McDonald's apple pies! This culinary staple kept me alive. I also loved the minimalist decoration full of Nicaraguan heritage and Latino pride! I like how I could choose where I wanted to sit. At the bar watching Univision or in the bigger room with another television set mounted higher up. I can definitely see this bigger restaurant room full of people celebrating life with their family on the weekends.

I ordered a small broccoli with garlic sauce and a white rice. Along with a large vegetable chop suey. Take out since the don't serve small portions to eat in. What I received was steamed broccoli (tasteless)with no rice. The chop suey was nothing more than bok choy and bean sprouts, again tasteless. All for $16. Never again.

The customer service at Kam Kee is top notch. The lady at the counter waited patiently while my boyfriend and I decided what to buy for our family. She answered all of our questions and even offered great suggestions. The wait for the food was not long at all and because we bought so much food they gave us a bag of candy on the house! I definitely wasn't expecting that. The food was better than any other casual Chinese restaurant I've been to. The breading they used for the honey chicken and sweet and sour chicken was fluffy, the special fried rice was cooked perfectly, and the fried plantains were just right. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the mood for greasy Chinese takeout again.
