I've tried cuban food from La Carreta, Casavana, Sergio's and all these brand name cuban places and nothing compares to Dia y Noche. They have excellent prices and their food is delicious. Unlike many cuban places that use canned beans, their black beans are made from scratch, they even put aji cachucha. The place might not look nice on the outside and the waitresses might look like they are in their period all the time, pero their food makes up for everything they lack in customer service. They have the best croquetas in town, specially the ham and the cheese croquetas, those cheese croquetas are better than a mozzarella stick.
The food is decent but the service and wait time is horrendous. It took literally one hour to make a cubano, tostada and cafe con leche. They ignore you. If you can endure the long wait and rude customer service, I would still say go somewhere else. I usually don't like leaving one star reviews but my absolute dreadful experience earned them this rating.

The staff at night is super rude, they treat customers badly and they don't have any manners, especially a dyed blonde who wears lycra and white shoes! The food has lost a lot of quality and the owner should be informed of this since I am a regular customer who has been too disappointed in a place that was my favorite and to which I no longer plan to come again!!

Bad experience.In various occasions, visited place ... normal food, nice coffee, good service from waitresses.Thursday evening, Jan 25th went to dinner around 8:30pm - used the bathroom briefly and some guy knocked the door multiple times really loud.He seemed upset that I was using the bathroom. Later noticed the same guy carrying garbage from the counter waste basket.Not sure I'll go back to this place.
