This place was amazing. Walked in with no expectations, service was really nice. We had monfongo, obviously, and it was just as good as I remember it was in PR. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to give a try to puertorican food.

Very disappointed on the Mofongo... The mofongo it's NOT supposed to be sweet and shouldn't be like a paste.
You SHOULD USE ONLY GREEN PLANTAINS.

This place is an absolute gem! The food is absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Every time I come here, they DO NOT disappoint! I was craving MOFONGO and this is really the only place I trust a good mofongo. The churrasco was delicious with congri rice. Modongo is a green plantain dish very popular in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic. It has crushed pork rinds on top. You can create your own plate as you wish. I highly recommend you come here and bring your family along!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was looking forward to this restaurant because of the reviews but I left there disappointed. Clearly the 5 stars are customers that havent had authentic puertorican food. The mofongo was mushy and greasy and tasted like it had sweet plantains in the mix. The pollo al ajillo was more of a stew and looked liked it came out of a can and the sorullos de maíz tasted like they were made with sweet plantains instead of arina de maiz. I tasted the food and left the entire dish on the table cause I couldnt stomach it. I literally threw my money away at this place. If youre a puertorican reading this, save yourself the trip and money and go somewhere else.

Rice was Bland. The “Mofongo” is more of a mangu the manager gave a horrible excuse that the machine pounds the plantains too much if he actually cared abt the quality of the food he’d take that machine out. He got annoyed just for showing basic service skills.Honestly the mixture of Cuban and Puertorican doesn’t work for them they need to focus on one or the other.

This is my second time here. It’s not close to where I live, but I was in the neighborhood and I took the opportunity to come and have some good Puerto Rican food. I ordered a Bandeja Boricua!!! Yummy! If you’re looking for a place to have typical Puerto Rican food, this is the place. Our waitress, Leisy, was very nice and gave us time to browse the menu because we couldn’t make up our minds what to eat.

I enjoyed the variety at El Rinconcito, especially since they offer both Cuban and Puerto Rican options. Still, the Puerto Rican dishes didn’t taste as authentic as the flavors I grew up with. This was the only the Puerto Rican spot I could in the area. Overall, the service wasn't great and felt ignored.

I've been eating from here for years but lately they've been messing up a lot of my delivery orders. I've received incorrect sides, missing items, and even completely different meals. They need to do better and be more accurate with their DoorDash orders.
