Fritanga Coquito is an authentic Nicaraguan restaurant, the food was delicious and good portioned! They also sell Rosquillas, Picos and other baked goods to take and enjoy at home. I love that for lent they have dishes like Sopa de Queso which is generally only served during this holiday. The location has free parking. The family running the business does a great job keeping the place neat and are friendly. I love that this Nicaraguan restaurant is owned and run by actual Nicaraguans; this is not necessarily the case for many restaurants in the city, which may sell our food but the owners are not Nicas. I love this place!

Just had a baby shower and needed catering. These folks, did not disappoint. I ordered the day before and they cooked everything the morning of the party so the food is SUPER fresh! The food, needless to say, is AMAZING!! This is the 2nd time I've used them for catering and they always come through!. Very inexpensive and the food is always in abundance. Will 100% be returning. AMAZING FOOD!!

I won't eat there again. I got sick from ordering beef soup. When he served me the soup, he took the meat out of a bucket that was under the food counters...evidently the meat had been out of the pot, at room temperature for more than 3 hours. He made the soup and the food and closed the container. When I went to eat the meat in my office. I cut and saw strange colored fibers. I trusted the food but my suspicion was true. I already had bacteria. It gave me diarrhea, stomach pains and headaches. The lady putting raw meat on the grill with HER HAND!! and with the SAME HAND HE TOOK THE MEAT FROM THE BUCKET ON THE FLOOR AND SERVED IT TO ME. A lot of unhygienic, they do not follow rules for food handling, meat temperature...breeding of bacteria. And this happened today. May 31/2024 @1pm Hialeah
