We’ve been going here for a long time when my mother was alive we would go there every time we went to see her but lately there food has gone down hill it’s not as good as it used to be I don’t know if they’ve changed cooks or what but my wife had arrows con pollo and I had picadillo with black beans and white rice with plantains and it didn’t taste right

I’ve been to many of their locations. However, this location is much to be desired. The service is slow. The employees do not speak one word of English. There’s nothing like a good cup of cuban coffee. Unfortunately the coffee was not drinkable.
Had dinner here on our last night in Miami before the Dolphins' season opener this year. It was quite, not so busy, and we were treated to good service, really good food with seriously large portions, and even the dessert we had - bread pudding - easily served four people and we didn't even finish it.
I have been to many a La Carreta over the years and this one will stick in my mind as very chill, and quietly very good.
