I have been a regular customer of this restaurant since its beginnings on 4th Ave in Hialeah and later at this location on 29th St. But lately I don't know what happened because the quality of the chicharones has declined a lot! They feel rubbery, they are not crunchy like they were before. I don't know what's happening if they fry them in less time or the oil is cold but they should correct this since the quality has dropped a lot! Mesa BBQ has always been known for selling the best chicharones in Hialeah.
