Whenever I’m craving a late-night meal, this conveyor belt sushi spot is always the first place that comes to mind. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. It’s become my go-to place for late-night sushi. Highly recommended!

If you love to eat sushi it’s a place you for sure needs to visit make sure your there before they open at 6pm if you like to experience the best sit in front of the boats the prices are base on the color/pattern of your plate it’s a good value if it’s 2 people and you share plates like that you get to experience all the plates and not get that full Nate are server was really nice and the chefs where amazing overall I love this place.

Shima is my go-to spot whenever I'm feeling like having a great japanese meal, which is a lot of times. The food is always on point. I usually order the tonkotsu ramen but other days I mix it up with a chicken bento box or a blanca roll. Doesn't matter what it is, it's always good. You can see the sushi chef in the middle of the restaurant cutting up and assembling sushi orders as they come in. The service is friendly and some of the wait staff can take your order without writing anything down, which always shows dedication to the grind. The atmoshphere is very reminiscent of a homey little ramen spot you'd find in Japan. It very much adds positive vibes to the experience. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in the mood for some top tier asian food.

Great food and absolutely amazing service, Ciara was very attentive and even went out of her way to show us photos of the menu so we knew exactly what we were getting ourselves into . 10/10 recommend

I love this place. If I had to change anything, it would be the cleanliness and lighting. It has a dirty look to it, and I wish it didn’t. But the food is always good. I love the ramen here

Worst experience ever. Rotating sushi boats kept getting stuck and I spent almost the entirety of our meal unjamming the boats. There wasn't a lot of variety with the Sushi dishes. Service was poor we waited an hour to get an order of Shumai. In the time it took to get the order we had pulled some shumai off the boats but got stuck with the extra order. Overall our visit really wasn't worth the two and half hour wait nor the money spent. Minatos has the same quality and you get your money's worth. I was really disappointed with our visit. Truly not worth the hype. Restaurant was dingy and there's algae growing on the side walls water conveyor system. I Wouldn't recommend.

A delicious, fun sushi experience. It's not cheap, but you don't really want your sushi to be cheap, do you? Pay by the plate as it comes by, good quality on each one. I think you can make custom requests, but I've never needed to as the choices are abundant and widely varied.

I LOVE Shima's. I have only ever eaten their sushi and am never disappointed. They occasionally bring out new/seasonal sushi rolls and they're always great. Their desserts are also pretty good. The staff are friendly. I like that the same employees are always working so it's easy to build a relationship with them. Service is great.
The should consider remodeling as the place looks a little run-down. The ceiling and air vents are stained/dirty. The area where the boats float around also looks dirty/moldy, but not sure if it's just stained.
Even though this place is not visually appealing, their food is great.

I love the food here and have come often with friends and my partner. I’ve frequented the restaurant multiple times a week for months and know some staff by name. I’ve loved dining in regularly up until recently. While finishing up and being handed the check, my partner and I notice we were charged at large party fee, though it was just myself and my partner. We asked a server and were told this was to guarantee tip as it was rumored we would not tip. This is completely untrue and was extremely rude of the server to add an extra miscellaneous charge based off rumors.

We weren’t a large party nor have there ever been major problems with service before, but this visit left my partner and I with a bad taste in our mouths. We enjoy the food and being regulars, but we’ll be taking a break from Shima. Most of the staff is pretty friendly, but some weekend staff are quite rude, cold, short, and do not take the time to make your night special the way some do. Nathan is always kind and helpful when we’ve visited. Adding hidden fees and charges to guarantee tip for yourself is shady and as someone who works in food/customer service, I’d never behave the way we were treated last.

I know nothing will probably change, but it felt worth it to at least let others know. The food is usually great, some inconsistencies with taste but great most of the time. The atmosphere is cute and Shima is usually playing great music too! But overall customer service has hit an all time low. In this type of setting, multiple servers are present and help out multiple tables at once. So, this setup is very unlike the traditional waiter/waitress server model. You’re usually on your own most of the time besides being asked about drinks and sauce when you first sit, which is also why the added charges felt a bit like overkill :/

Dietary restrictions: Pretty flexible with dietary needs, with customizations and multiple food prep areas. Options for vegetarians, pescatarians and vegans present.
