Great Outdoors Restaurant

This food was mediocre at best but the service was atrocious. The staff was pleasant but I don't believe I've ever been to a restaurant that made more mistakes at 1 table.

First time & we hope to return as there were lots of great options on menu. We opted for the fresh catch of Red Fish Piccata style and the Blackened Shrimp Po Boy. Big portion of Red Fish with a lemon caper sauce over smashed red potatoes was delicious. The Po Boy had a generous amount of shrimp. Got the peanut butter brownie to go! Our server, Riley, was fantastic. Will definitely request her when we return.

This was such an amazing restaurant in every way. Service was incredible, Jesse is awesome! The place was clean and beautiful. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

While the food could have used a little more seasoning, it was excellent and the service was extraordinary and definitely worth the wait (only 20 min on a busy holiday weekend)

Honestly can’t offer an earnest opinion on the food, but hostess at the front was rude & somewhat arrogant in her demeanor, not friendly or inviting as a hostess or greeter at any restaurant should be.
I looked up sit down restaurant as I was in High Springs for business, this establishment popped up in close proximity, so I walk in, no person at the front, I stand there for a short while, maybe 2-3 minutes, decided to pick up a menu from rack beside hostess stand,
As I begin to visually look over the menu,
A young lady walks up,
Proceeds to look at me, as if I irritated her,
Grabs the remaining menus from the rack & move them to the bar stool, as if to get them away from my reach,
Then she just stares at me for several seconds, no greeting, no good afternoon, no… are you here for lunch? Or ready to be seated? Finally she says ,
Can I help you?
Now bear in mind, I walk into a restaurant at 12:30 on week day, chances are , I’m there to eat ?
So I say I’m here for lunch, and ask is this menu the lunch menu?
Thinking maybe she’s taking them because I mistakenly picked up a different dinner menu or something,
She confirmed it was in fact the lunch menu, walks me to a table… without saying a word, again no friendly conversation, no how are you doing today? No I hope you enjoy your meal, etc…
Walks over pops the drink menu on a table in a corner, seats were cracked & uncomfortable, I sat there for a brief moment, confused by her attitude & considering if I wanted to eat in any restaurant where the first impression was the greeter, that treated a customer with a level of disrespect, disdain & like I was inconveniencing her.
So I apologized to the waitress, walked out & went to another restaurant, Pink Flamingo 🦩 were the staff is warm & friendly.

We came for dinner, and it was absolutely FABULOUS!! Jodi at the bar was so attentive, fun and helpful—adorable😊. The food was incredible; we had the nutty berry salad with blackened chicken and the pork chop special, and you could cut the meat with a fork on both. I’ve had a lot of salads, and this was one of the best! The atmosphere out on the porch was lovely with lots of greenery and little lights. The next time we come to High Springs, we will definitely eat here again!

We dropped by for lunch with another couple. The service was excellent, and the dining room and aesthetics as always very nice. I had never tried their chicken Waldorf salad, and it was exceptional. There was a huge amount of fresh, sweet fruit, and a cup of chicken salad that was flavorful, with a dash of curry. The salad dressing was some kind of creamy balsamic that worked perfectly, and the bed of green was far above the usual restaurant quality. This really was a gourmet salad, homemade a lunch special menu highly recommended.
