AMI might be the best kept secret in all of FL. Having spent 11 days there over Xmas/NY, we were so happy with every aspect of this little gem. Although it would be difficult to rank our favorites when it comes down to restaurants, beaches, activities, etc., hands down the Anchor Inn was the highlight of our trip. I could rave to you about the ice cold drinks, festive music, pinball and pool tables... But none of those elements even remotely compared to the awesome locals and fabulous bartenders that we quickly became friends with. But this post is regarding the Anchor Inn, so praising the bartenders is my top priority. Brad, single-handedly the most insightful and thought-provoking bartender that I've ever met. And his hair is great, too. The Brothers, both equally charming and pleasant to be around. And last, but not least and never to be forgotten, the tough as nails/sweet like honey Kirsten. You are a true Diamond, little sister. The four of you will be the top reasons that we will definitely be back to AMI in the not so distant future.

We just came to hangout and drink. Drinks are reasonable for being on the island. We love coming here to play darts and shoot pool. When we vacation on Anna Maria Island, this is one of our go to spots. We visit frequently. Bartender was pretty awesome too!

Would be a zero! What a terrible place to go on vacation. If you do not actually live here all the time...dont go here. Worst service from a bartender ever. But he doesn't care because apparently he owns the place. Other service workers in town warned us about this place. I see why. Ugh!

This place is a dive bar in the true sense but it’s not for everyone. Although it’s located on the island it really only caters to the locals. The bartender is not right and is slightly off center. I would stay away if you don’t live on the island or spend major amounts of time on the island.

I wasn’t prepared to relive the smell of stale cigarette smell in a bar. It wasn’t as displeasing as a bartender making my drinks using his hands on the product while smoking. Thanks, but no thanks.
Wow! For a bar that's open from 7am - 3am, I would have expected more of a dive but it's a great little bar with tasty pizza and plenty of cold drinks. Super friendly staff. The owner Bobby is a great fella. Definitely will return.

Great atmosphere and the friendliest people are always there enjoying the relaxing bar with the best AC and iced down beers, not to mention full bar. Try a "bomb" shot btw. The bartenders are the best never having employee turn over says a lot about a landmark bar that is privately owned. Makes a great date night to listen to music and just unplug or after a day on the beach or on way home from work. Best ever locals.
