We walked into the place to order a pizza to take home. They said they would not take our order because they are swamped. There were maybe ten people in the establishment. I do not understand why you wouldn’t take a guaranteed ordered we would have paid for it. It seems so archaic. Like paper receipts. Don’t know what their pizza tastes like and never will. We are here for a month an I will go buy a frozen a pizza before I will ever order from them.

Rain and a fouled reservation took us via google search to Solos. OUTSTANDING! The staff headed by Theresa accommodated 25 guests without a single kerfuffle. Honestly, I was amazed at Theresa's ease of getting beverages flowing and food going. She made extra efforts to accommodate our newly wedded couple and helped the best man look good with some Key Lime Pie. Theresa daddled over the bride's father and made both mothers happy! All this with a smile and an exuberance of happiness. The food most excellent. We did pizzas and all were top-notch. The Solo patrons were all very nice as well. They joined the celebration and gifted us some of the greatest acts of kindness I've ever witnessed. Solo's Pizza, Theresa, and the generous patron will forever be part of this destination beach wedding lore.

The short version is that I do not recommend visiting this restaurant. The service is terrible. I'm a seasonal tourist and I've been there in the past and it was quite good. As of now the food quality has gone down hill and the staff is awful. The seasoned waitress is quite rude. Apparently 5 tables is too much for 2 servers. :eyerollThe longer version is that our waitress got my order wrong. It happens, I'm not too irritated by that. The other waitress told us that it would be remedied in 6 minutes. The rest of our party was finished eating by the time our food came. She seemed a bit taken aback by our suggestion we not pay full price for our very late and partially burnt calzone. She was very dismissive of us and quickly darted from the table. The owner came out and asked how our meal was, and we briefly explained that we were a bit bothered that the staff seemed to not care that our experience sucked. (paraphrased). He said he would talk to them but generally seems to also not really care. I get it, they don't care. I feel like we pay a premium to go out, have good food, and have the staff at least pretend to care. Our food wasn't great the service was worse, and they dropped $3 from the bill to compensate us for our experience.To add insult to injury, the party we went with didn't want to go here because their last experience was awful. Burned food, and dismissive staff... I convinced them it was just a bad night and that this place had always been good to us. Clearly this is an issue now and we won't be going back. While just a few of us not coming back a few times a year won't make much of a difference, I hope to stop others from repeating our mistake. There are a number of excellent food options on the island and unfortunately this is no longer one of them.

We ordered pizza and wings to go, but the inside was warm and inviting and the service was great and on time. The wings were great, but the pizza was just okay, thus the 4-stars on the food. We’ll give them another try and try some other food items and will revise this review accordingly.

This was our first time trying solos after several Trips to AMI and I'm surprised we haven't tried it sooner. When you walk into solos, it looks more like a bar than a pizza spot. Big wooden bar that wraps around most of the restaurant. High top tables, booths, lots of bar like decor. I called in my order and while i was intending to get a pie and some wings, i was informed it was a 2 pie minimum (thought that was weird) and they had no wings. (Again kind of weird) So we roll with the punches and got a cheese and a pepperoni pie. The pies were cooked perfectly. They were hot, thin and crispy! The only complaint i have for these pies is the lack of sauce. It had some sauce, but i think the ratio between sauce/cheese/crust was a little off. We will definitely be back to AMI and I'm sure we will get solos again. I'm hoping next time they have wings and maybe I'll stay for a beer or two!

I wanted to like this place because we support local businesses over chains any day but I was fairly disappointed with the experience. Ordered 3 pizzas and got them quick but the custom pizza I got only had ingredients in the middle and they did not seem very fresh, lacking flavor. I got feta, bacon, ground beef, and banana peppers; any other place I’ve ordered this pizza has been amazing, here it was not. The CHARGE for the REFILLS is a huge hit on the score and the thin paper plates from the dollar tree next door that we were given with our piping hot pizza was a joke. This place has lost its way. Use fresh ingredients and don’t be stingy, deep clean the bathrooms, give some real plates with the pizza, and please make the refills free (its 2023 and no where charges for refills, the syrup is about $.05 a serving and the carbonated water is maybe $.01).
