Had lunch at the Ugly Grouper first week in May 2024. Can’t beat fresh grilled grouper! Had the grouper sandwich, can’t recall name. Excellent! Daughters loved it also. Nice outdoor atmosphere. Service was great. Highly recommend.

Our server was Irada.... she's wonderful. Huge smile... friendly.. the whole package. The food is wonderful, hot and fresh!! The server made the entire meal wonderful!! Will definitely come back while we are here!!Parking: Extra parking lot of you need it.. short walk.. maybe 25 yards

They took about hour and half to bring the food to the table, they forgot about my son's sandwich and took extra 25 mins to get it out. The fish tacos had no flavor. They recomended them and they were aweful. The waitress was great, she was attentive and friendly. Other than that the restaurant is not even average! There's better palces around.

Excellent food. Excellent server. Server recommendations were fantastic. He also made sure to note how large portions were when we inquired about certain menu items, and also pointed them out when they were being delivered to other patrons. The vibe was chill, there was live music and it wasn't too overpowering. Definitely a "must go" next time we make it to AMI.

Irada was absolutely phenomenal! Best server we've ever had. Food is always amazing, but she made the experience top notch!
We went here because we didn't want to wait 2 1/2 hrs at The Waterfront by the City Pier. We had no expectations and we were surprised. "Love music", one guy and his guitar just playing his upbeat, reggae style oldies. Was pleasing enough. Beer and a "special" dark & stormy advertised as two shots of goslings dark rum floated on some ginger beer. Fell short guys, served in an old fashion glass with nary room for one full shot when served with ice and a slice of lemon? Someone needs to take a trip to the island and learn how to make one. The food was a different story, coconut shrimp were excellent and the grouper cake were just grand. Grouper pulverized to make a great protein binder for lumps of grouper, along with red pepper, cilantro? Green onion and browned equally on both sides, served with spicy rice and the best "steam table" veggies ever. Whoever was responsible for this should be commended. Perfect texture and great flavor. The Cajun remoulade has a hint of cayenne and was flavorful. I prefer a much spicier one. I had locally baked key lime pie, and it was key lime, not some green tinted stuff you get at other places. Definitely a family place, lots of kids and young adults enjoying a meal after the beach. Service is appropriate for this type of outside dining in FL, many large fans moving the air around.
