I'm a born and raised Florida local and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Tortilla Bay. It's been a staple on Anna Maria Island since I was in high school. The service I've had has always been friendly even after I've had a long day on the beach and I'm dragging sand in for them to sweep up... still, always sweet people. From what I know now, they are temporarily closed due to a family event. I PRAY they reopen to keep our Florida locals and tourists fat & happy after a long beach day. FYI... I've never been able to find a better queso, try it if you don't believe me

The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The food was not that great. It was not bad, just not what I expected. Their salsa had a strange taste. The food was more expensive than what I would have liked. It is a nice place to enjoy a tourist type meal, but I would not recommend to friends or family. Also the food is not settling well on the stomach.

I love this place. The Tex Mex wrap is the best anywhere and the prices are amazing. Same for the Tortilla Bowl. Can't wait to go back!

Honestly if I could give this place no stars I would. Been in here three times. Every single time they've been very dismissive and rude, acting like they didn't want to serve us and made us feel very unwelcome. First two times going in they didn't greet us or even look at us until we went up to the counter and had to say something to them first...... Just went in right now 45 mins before closing and the girl behind the counter gave us a dirty look, looked at the man working next to her, he said "Are you going to do it?" She said "I guess so...." and they started bickering to each other quietly so we said "Sorry we're just going to go somewhere else" and the girl just said "Yeah...." Like what even is that?!?! My friends used to go here 8 or 9 years ago and said it was great. The food actually wasn't dry back then, fresher ingredients. Now the only good thing about this place in my opinion is their queso lol. Super sh*tty service and the food isn't really good enough anymore to make it a destination.

The cashier/waiter helped me select meats and sauces based on her favorites...very helpful. My meal was great-- at first I was a little surprised by some of the prices, but the extra expense clearly goes into fresh ingredients and careful preparation. Get the barbacoa...it's heavenly! All in all an enjoyable lunch experience mere feet from some of the best Gulf Coast beaches.

Best Tex-Mex restaurant on the intercoastal and the server was very friendly and helpful. Very quick turnaround too if you're in a rush.

Nothing fancy at all, one cook, and very limited seating, but good food....especially the Pico de gallo

We stopped here for a quick dinner night. When ordering inside, it's about as hot as hades...Unsure if the AC is broke or if that's just how it is. It seemed a little understaffed as the phone was constantly ringing, and the only one girl at the counter was performing other tasks in the kitchen. We ordered queso, two burritos, and two quesadillas. The food took 20 minutes to prepare and we carried it out. Overall the quesadillas were excellent--very fresh. Burritos were also good with jalapeño sauce and chipotle sauce. Probably would not go back again, but for this experience the stars was in its favor.

Great food all of the salsa flavors and queso are great! Serving size large. The only negative is they have been out of steak all 3 times I've been there.

Okay value for the money. Nothing great but nothing bad. Nachos were better than the quesadilla

We thought we were going to a sit-down restaurant instead of an order at the counter place and almost left. We are SO happy we stayed. The guy at the counter gave the best recommendations, the food was fast and delicious, and prices were reasonable. We especially loved the guac, queso and green sauce. The barbacoa and charbroiled steak were both recommended by Rudy, and he was spot on...so good. Stop in for a quick bite of deliciousness. Our girls loved Rudy, he was funny, and honest about what he liked and why.

Great food with good portion sizes for the price!

I used to leave glowing reviews for this place. It was a must-do on the island. I don't know if they changed ownership or what the deal is; but it's not the same. It's so sad.
