Amazing food in a laid back environment. Prices were fair for the amazing food we had! Loved the Leon’s vegetables and the yucca fries, wish we could have tried the vegetable empanada. Loved that there were so many delicious vegan and vegetarian options!

Where to start? This restaurant/takeaway is clearly adored by its patrons, as we could tell from their comments. We loved the food - curry goat for me, sweet chilli salmon for her - and the generous glasses of freshly extracted fruit juices. Don’t miss the experience!

We were looking for something different and local and came upon this restaurant. We loved the food and experience. The owners so kind and attentive. Highly recommended!

The location is in a somewhat dodgy part of Homestead, and the exterior of the building doesn't exactly draw you in, but the food and the juice of the day were excellent! Most of the customers that evening seemed to be mostly there for take-away, and there were 4-5 tables. Very welcoming staff and the food was truly very good! We tried to go back the next evening but all the tables were full!

Understated hole-in-the-wall Jamaican-Haitian family restaurant. Almost didn’t walk in as it didn’t even look open. Cautiously sat at one of the few tables and were warmly greeted by owner. Not knowing what to order we asked. She shared the favorites of the mostly local Islands clientele and we honestly could not have been more pleased. Sweet chili salmon, Curry goat with feta, J*** fried pork belly with corn relish, Passion fruit key lime pie, French pressed coffee. Wow. Absolutely wonderful (and surprising) culinary experience.

We came because of the great reviews here and so glad we did! The presentation was also amazing! We had j*** wings and conch fritters as appetizers. Both were great. J*** was not too spicy. And we had goat curry and salmon with sweet chili as entrees. Both were great. The sweet salmon chili was a standout. Taking desert home to have later but I have high hopes after that meal lol

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Yardie Spice while staying in Florida City. We took our servers recommendations and got the Goat Curry and Sweet Chili Salmon. I never would have picked Goat Curry but it was delicious and fun to try something out of my comfort zone! The salmon was also great! We also got the mango fruit juice and it was outstanding. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

I was recommended the Sweet salmon chili and my wife got the Goat Curry. Salmon dish was great… I will say we’ve both never tried goat and we were very pleased with our first experience trying it! Staff was also very friendly and made for a fun atmosphere.

Had a great meal here tonight that lived up tp the trip advisor reviews. I had the salmon with rice and red chili sauce topped with guacamole, just the right balance of sweetness and spice. My husband had the pork belly with corn salsa. All very fresh ingredients and great flavors. We had the passion mango smoothie which was fantastic and got the passion fruit key lime pie to go. Husband and wife team are welcoming and friendly. He is the chef and explained his dishes and gave us great recommendations, as did his wife.

The food in this restaurant was amazing. We tried the salmon with red chilli sauce. The spice was perfect. We weren't sure if the restaurant was open when we first saw it. Inside, it is warm and inviting.

Found this restaurant in a Google/ TripAdvisor search. True to the reviews, this is a truly friendly restaurant. The neighborhood and storefront are unassuming and if you aren’t looking for it, you probably wouldn’t notice it. The faire is Jamaican, and the owner is quick to give a rundown of the food and highlights their recommended dishes. Tonight they had a mango/passion fruit smoothie with ginger and turmeric. Excellently balanced flavors as ginger can quickly overwhelm. The conch fritters came to the table as a tower of tasty treats. Nicely fried and contained generous bits of conch. The meals are more than reasonably priced and are good portions. We had Griot, steamed then fried pork. I chose it as it is Jamaica’s national dish. Very good. We also had Leon’s Legume vegetarian dish which was rich and flavorful. Because I was full, I ordered the key lime and passion fruit pie to “to go”. So glad I did. Tangy/sweet as expected but a slightly boosted fruitiness from the passion fruit. I wish I had found this restaurant earlier in our trip as I would have liked to go back and try some other dishes.

Every dish we had was amazing. We followed the chef/owners suggestions and were glad we did. It was great being in a space where the owners are present and passionate, and it was the best meal we have ever had anywhere in FL.

Upon our entry to Yardie Spice, the owner of the restaurant made quite the impression on us as first-time guests. He guided us through the menu on the wall, providing us recommendations and detailed descriptions of menu items. All our food was served with beautiful presentation. We felt very well-taken care of.My partner and I ordered the Conch Fritters and J*** Chicken as appetizers, which did not disappoint. The Conch Fritters were very tasty (and filling) with the accompanied sauce and the meat of the J*** Chicken Wings fell right off the bone. Both had a bit of a spice, but were not too hot to handle for my low spice tolerance. The Sweet Chili Salmon was made to perfection, topped on a bed of rice with a spicy guacamole that enhanced the dish in a way I could have never expected. The only disappointment was that the Conch Fritters had already filled me up, so I had to take my leftovers home (which, by the way, still tasted great after reheating the next morning). My partner cleaned his Goat Curry off the plate at the restaurant. Needless to say, we were over the moon after our meal.Yardie Spice single-handedly cured our after-work hanger. 10/10 Would definitely come again if or when we come back to this area!
