I hate to leave a bad review but please go to another spot. I’d normally not care about price but the crema de malanga was the only thing I ordered and it has no taste. Not only was it not good, I spent 4x as much here than any other place for the same item. If you’re looking to burn money, this spot is perfect for you. Not worth the visit.

While I didn’t really enjoy the food here, my family did. We ordered ropa vieja (me), which I do have to say was a little dry after the marinade was down your throat. It was also very stringy. However, the kids meal was well put together and fit my child well. We also ordered a steak sandwich which was very good. We found this place via recommendation of our Biscayne tour guide. Overall, I would come back and just order something different.
My family and I have always enjoyed coming here, but the experience has gone downhill recently. It’s always been on the expensive side for a fairly average Cuban restaurant, but the prices have now climbed to an unreasonable level.
Within just a few weeks of visiting, we noticed significant price hikes…the old prices have literally been whited out on the menu and replaced with higher ones, which have been written in and it looks cheap and unprofessional.
Some of our favorite dishes have noticeably smaller portions, yet the prices have skyrocketed. For example, the carne milanesa jumped from $28 to $33, a small plate of plantains is now $9, and even a cappuccino costs $9. The food itself hasn’t improved… it’s still mediocre…and the service remains lackluster.
Overall, it feels like a rip-off at this point. What was once an enjoyable spot for our family has become overpriced and disappointing.

Extremely and ridiculous super high prices! Roast pork $26, a beef empanada $6 one queso frito $14… I had the same queso frito somewhere else yesterday for under $4. A Cuban coffee $4. It was a $75 bill for a sandwich, roast pork, 2 coffees, 1 queso frito and 1 empanada… $75!!! Super high prices for regular Cuban food. Never plan to come back here again!

The portions are large. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was good. I've come a few times now. It's always delicious. Sadly, the prices are now much higher, making it out of my budget. But, if you're in this area, definitely go, at least once.

This is a small but cozy restaurant. The food is delicious and the services is outstanding. I asked for the palomilla bistec with fried plantains, rice and beans and it was soft and delicious. Some may find it pricey but I think it is definitely worthy.
