La Michoacana Paleteria

This place can feel a little overwhelming if you’re not sure what to order, but the paletas are always a safe bet. If you can name a fruit, they most likely have a popsicle for it — either water- or milk-based. They’ll also pack them up to go if you want to stock up.

You’ll find both traditional and more exotic flavors like passion fruit, coconut, and kiwi, along with fun combinations such as rum raisin. My absolute favorite is the arroz con leche — the rice grains melt away in your mouth and it’s pure perfection.

We’ve also tried the strawberry Dubai chocolate cups, which were very good. I do wish the ratio of Dubai chocolate to strawberries was a bit more balanced, but it was still delicious. They also carry specialty chips and other small snacks.

Loved it ever since I was a young girl. This Michoacana got me into loving ice cream and reviewing ice cream places all over North America. Love the owners journey as well and it’s such a staple in the community as well. Excellent customer service every time I’m back in town and even see some old friends when I stop by. The ice cream is very creamy and full of toppings. Best of all, not too sweet. Tastes very natural.

Hands down the best Ice-Cream shop. The pistachio ice cream was very sweet and full of pistachio nuts.
Everything was fairly priced.
Shakes were named in Spanish, So found a bit hard to order shakes. Dubai Shake was the only one we could identify easily. So ordered that. It was very rich and delicious.
Lady took her time and put everything very well. It tasted as good as it looks.

A million ice cream flavor options from many tropical fruits to cookies and cream and they were delicious!! So many menu options, it was almost overwhelming. Very popular local spot, they use the take-a-number system. Also have savory food items, which we didn’t try. Spanish-speaking, and we were able to figure it out. Staff were really friendly!
