What a neat stop! We needed some Cuban coffee, and found this gem of a shop. The service was great, and the atmosphere was really friendly. The coffees and pastries we got were really good, as were the empanadas. The Cuban sandwich was a bit disappointing, was basically ham & cheese - for those who know what expect from an authentic Cuban, this was a bummer. Still a good sandwich, just not what we expected. Absolutely worth checking out if you nearby.

Not what we expected. Don’t go by the pictures on their website…obviously stock photos….total mis-representation.I don’t want to bad mouth because I applaud any one trying to run a business. My husband and I stopped by after going to the Everglades. We walked in and could tell immediately that you order at the counter and they bring your food out. No where to sit inside…..just fyi….,The bathroom was gross. When I went to our table I think it only had 3 legs. Extremely wobbly! The second table wobbly. The third table too high for regular chair….finally the fourth table was sturdy enough. We both ordered the Cuban Sandwich. Took a while, but I was ok with that because I thought it would be a true representation of a Cuban sandwich. It wasn’t. No sides came with it. I chose a bag of Dorritos with about 3 chips in the bag.

My friend and I ordered valiadas ? they reheated the tortillas, they were bad and the American coffee tasted old almost $30 dls for old food? Got to Macdonalds at least they serve fresh food with fresh coffee, don’t waste your money.

A little spot that makes an effort with good food, colorful decor and friendly service! There is indoor and outdoor seating; also a fairly large parking lot and street parking. We ate at a quiet time of the afternoon and had the place to ourselves. We ordered two fresh juices (guanabana and passionfruit) that were tasty, huge and cheap ($2.50!). We ordered picadillo that was simple but very tasty (with whole green olives—yumm!), and a grilled chicken plate. The chicken had a delicious marinade. We shared sides of tostones, platanos maduros, and black beans— all were delicious. Our server, Aris, was super sweet and patient with us excitable Cuban-food-loving Northerners—thank you, Aris! The interior was basic but clean, as was the restroom. Definitely worth a visit for some hearty home-style Cuban fare next time you’re in the area. We were out of luck with guava pastries by that time of the day, sadly—go earlier if you want one, or three. ?

Vaca frita is crunchy and ropa vieja is juicy. Both are very delicious. The atmosphere is authentic and the service is very fast. I wanted to go to a bakery for pastelito but surprisingly they also had it. This restaurant was the best option for us on a rainy day which we did not need to drive long distance to Miami.
