Portofino Coal Fired Pizza

Today was our first time visiting with my husband. We arrived around 9:06 ordered an appetizer and our meals, and after we finished eating, our server asked if we wanted the check. My husband said, “Not yet, what desserts do you recommend?”

She laughed and replied that we could go to Menchie’s instead. My husband laughed it off, but honestly, I think we should have been told 15–20 minutes earlier that the kitchen was going to close soon and asked if we wanted to order anything else before it closed.

Instead, we were only told after the kitchen had already closed. Since it was our first time there, how were we supposed to know the kitchen was no longer taking orders? I believe better communication would have made for a much better experience.

Whoever the GM of this place is needs to be fired or taken to jail. Whoever it is purposely will not fix the a/c resulting in a horrible atmosphere for guests and employees. The a/c at this place has been out for over a month(came a month ago and today) and the GM will not fix. I will be calling the Florida Health Department and these employees deserve a raise for being amazing and dealing with cruel elements.

One star is over rated for this place sat ans waited for service other customers come in and they get waited on and still waiting for a server to even acknowledge that we are sitting there asked for a manager and they claim not to have any managers on a busy Friday night really bad service if I could give 0 stars I would
Replying to your reply on busy Friday night that could be but when you had a total of 3 tables sitting and I was the second one and the third one got service over my table not acceptable

Pizza is always great here, the only issue is the place is always too warm inside. I was told one time that the AC was broken and when I came back to town and checked them out again it was uncomfortable inside again. Hope they can get that fixed, the food is great, need the atmosphere to match it.

Aaran was our server we came for our first Mother’s Day as a new family and he made it very special. Super attentive. Call me old school, but that goes a long way with me and my wife.
In my profession as a fighter and athlete you always strive for excellence and Aaran showed that. From the second we were greeted to even after our meal ended. We were treated very well.

The food was amazing, we ordered the Rustica Pizza and had to take it home.
Really fresh and tasty. Dough cooked with love and the toppings were fresh!

It used to be a packed place. The food was great but lately it’s a little overcooked.
Sad to say.

They do have this awesome Hawaiian pizza with coconut shavings… I just wish they wouldn’t leave it in the oven so long.

We have been here on 3 other occasions. I like the food but the service is terrible and the wait to be served is very long. On our previous visit we saw a family leave because the waitress didn’t come over to even get their drinks. Well tonight it happened to us. We were seated outside for 30 whole minutes and no one came. We saw other people walked in after us and they got service within 10 minutes. When we went up to the counter to ask for the manager someone told us there was none. They’ve got ppl stocking up cups and doing other crap in the back instead of having them jump in to help. They also don’t communicate because the host probably didn’t tell anyone we were out there.

Order 3 pies, two were just regular cheese, ALL 3 were soggy. Luckily it was take out. I'm less than 5 minutes from the house, so we threw it in the oven to crisps it up.
