The 1st time I visited this restaurant I had a nasty waitress; she would slam things on our table. After that it had been about 10 years that I hadn't gone back. 1st impression is a lasting impression with me. My daughter and I went to have lunch the other day and it just doesn't fail. My food was great but hers had lunch meat that was spoiled. The waitress came over and Happily took it back and my daughter requested something else. That she enjoyed very much. But what I don't understand is why would you serve food that is going bad. That is not right; the cheff needs to be more diligent on what he puts on the plate. If you come here be warned ⚠️.

This time, instead of leaving it to chance, I asked Google for restaurants near me. The White Lion came up and I was intrigued because it's out of the way. You'd never come upon it just driving around.
It's a cool looking place with an old country vibe and they've got it decorated for Halloween which is really fun!
I couldn't help but order a sweet tea and meatloaf with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes.
The tea is brewed fresh every day, the mugs are HUGE, and the tea is delicious. Not too sweet, just how I like it.
The meatloaf is also a large portion. It comes covered in mushrooms and brown gravy with a little more on the side for your mashed potatoes.
It tastes very good, especially when you have it with gravy and mushrooms together on the fork.
The mixed veggies are really good too, they're cooked through, but still firm.
Best of all is the service! It's my first time here and the staff treated me as well as they did the regulars.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable place and I absolutely recommend you try it out, even if you have to go out of your way.

Ordered the Wedge Salad, had no Balsamic, no Dressing, no Blue Cheese and the Bacon was burned. The wedge is my favorite salad and this was Horrible. Not sure what cheese they had on there but it was not good. Could not eat the salad
Also ordered the snapper which was rubbery, dry and cold, like freezer cold. Could not eat this either.
$60 later I guess the fries were ok, but they look like what I have in the freezer by Ore Ida
I won’t be back.

Staff was so seet and attentive. Food portions were huge, and delicius. My husband and I split a meal so we could save room for amazing desserts. Highly recommend the White Lion Cafe.

My wife and I used to come here for special occasions. Food was always good. Recently it has seemed to drop in quality. Shortened menu and food not quite as good as in past years (but still ok). I had the crab cake entree but did not like it paired with the Hollandaise sauce they pour over it. My wife normally orders the Romanian Tenderloin but that wasn't available so she ordered the shrimp pasta which was good. Sweet tea is good here.
Again, the food wasn't bad and the owners work hard but it's not what it once was
Hopefully they can turn it around because we really enjoy this place.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. The menu is quite diverse. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Service was excellent. It is a very homey, welcoming atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable. I definitely will be going back.

There is plenty of free parking.
The decorations are unique and extremely interesting.
The service is very friendly.
The desserts are exceptionally good.
This is a must visit. I will be returning to this restaurant to try the whole menu.

While looking for a venue for my wedding, a coworker advice me how this place totally ruined her wedding and cancel a day BEFORE her wedding... Think twice about this place. I would not have events here.
Great place. Good food and people. Give it a try.

The food was delicious. The service was slow, and even though they weren't full, the waitress seemed overwhelmed or uninterested in being prompt. She was very slow and we didn't see many other customers. The chicken salad croissant special was delicious, although the chunks should have been smaller. We gooey brownies were good but they needed the ice cream to sweeten the dark chocolate.

Literally wow. Best fish tacos I’ve ever had and best chicken wrap. Best experience. DO NOT let other people veer you away from this place with silly complaints about service. The staff was cool, and the food was unreal. All around American comfort-style meals in a quaint little converted home. 10/10/10
The mahi tacos were the freshest I’ve ever had.
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! 😍😍😍😍😍😍💯💯💯💯💯
