It's hard to get a really authentic Chicago-style pizza outside of Illinois, so I can't fault Second City Eats for tailoring their pie to meet the demands of the Florida market. There are lots of good things this place does, chief among them their Chicago-style dogs, but the pizza is not my thing. It's not bad at all; just not what I was looking for.Still, that doesn't mean I won't be coming back for more, because the friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere they created really gives off that local pizzeria vibe.

Took the grand kids to the Second City location in Port Richey. We order the small deep dip cheese pizza and it was off the hook! The cheese was so thick it was dripping off the sides! The sauce was out of this world! The kids loved it & we did too! A week later we went to the Hudson location with other family and ordered fried mushrooms & deep dish cheese one, & sausage, pepper & onion Reg crust. All the food was excellent! Girls liked the special fruit drinks. About time somebody brought real Chicago pizza & dogs to FL!

Pizza was just ok. I love deep dish but not this one. I asked for well done and it was far from that. In fact, it was doughy. Major bummer. It also some flowed into the box so it wasn't deep dish any more which probably wasn't their fault. I'll give them one more chance maybe.

This place makes me miss living in Chicago. Has a very nostalgic menu and atmosphere. The Chicago dog was 100% the genuine article, from the poppy seed bun and tomatoes to the sport peppers and bright green relish. Delicious. I did not try the thin-slice pizza but it looks great. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a meal or even just a snack.Highly recommend and will be back.

Pizza is the best in Hudson. I have tried them all. Crust is awesome and its not greasy.

New Hudson location - Fresh cut fires were nice - a bit on the raw side - not cooked all the way- The Chicago dog ? Not quite. Almost no relish at all and I could count the onions on 2 hands. 2 dogs Small Fry and a Soda - ?$18.50 - yikes! Worth every penny if they were dressed correctly -

We went to the NEW location on 19 in Hudson. Quite a long wait but worth it! Everyone wants to try this REAL Chicago deep dish and it's a small place so - until Roger can expand again to a bigger place with more room and more staff - there will be a wait and especially for deep dish. It was EXCELLENT. Not only the pizza but the fried mushrooms were the best I've ever had. Try it and please keep him busy so he does REALLY well and opens a bigger place!

I ate there 3 days ago. I moved here from Chicago a year ago, and haven't had a decent Italian Beef since I moved here. WELL, I found the place to have the best beef I ever had. I had to have weighed 3 pounds, had cheese, and hot peppers, and tasted just like home. I highly recommend them for a taste of home if you are from Chicago. They even have a map of the Chicagoland and Suburbs where you can put a push pin as to where you came from or are visiting from. Friendly staff and very personable.

By far, in my opinion, best pizza joint in the area. Plus the Italian beef was good too. Very friendly and will probably have to make this the weekly pizza place.

Second City Eats is a little slice of the old Chicago neighborhood, just minutes away from downtown New Port Richey. I'm a big fan of Chicago style food. If you are like me, then you need to check this spot out ASAP.I was so excited to get a combo, that I ate it before I took any pictures of it! But don't worry, I came back here the very next day, so check out my attached photos! The sausage & beef combo (dipped) was fantastic, I would highly recommend it! Seasoned, sweet & spicy peppers, soft bread... just delicious. As for what we had today, I had a Chicago style dog (all the way). It had the classic Vienna snap when you bit into it, green relish, fresh onions, and spicy giardiniera peppers, on an poppy seed bun. I also had deep fried mushrooms (make sure to get a side of their house made ranch sauce). We also had the fried chicken tenders basket, which came with fresh cut fries (and a side of nacho cheese dipping sauce). And finally, two incredible chilli cheese dogs. The staff was so friendly, and everything is prepared fresh right in front of you. I can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu!

In a word, amazing! They're opening a second location in Hudson across from Skinny's. But do yourself a favor, make it a point to stop in asap!

Thin crust pizza dough is SUPER tough and chewy. Someone needs a dough making lesson.

Great Chicago dogs here, cheese dogs also bomb. Cant wait to try the rest of their food. It was fast and friendly service. Place was clean, food was delicious. Authentic Chicago style food, dogs, Italian beef etc. Big menu would recommend if you are looking for a good dog for sure. I ate the hotdogs too fast before I could take a pic, next time tho.

We ordered a take and bake pizza. We have lived in Florida for 10 months and haven’t been able to find any pizza worth ordering a second time. We are in heaven! Finally a Chicago style pizza! Couldn’t have been any better. My husband also ordered a beef/sausage combo sandwich and said it was as good as Portillos at home. We found our new favorite place. Thank you!

Excellent Chicago dogs! Vienna everything so you know it's legit. Can't wait to try the Italian beef next!
