The atmosphere was OK but not entirely relevant in that it's set up like a sports bar. The food however is terrible. I had 3 beef tacos and an enchilada. The beef was so tough I couldn't chew it and both dishes tasted like they'd been ready for an hour before I got to eat it. The enchilada especially looked and tasted like it was pulled out of the fridge and just warmed up from the day before. I was not able to finish any of it and $30 went into the trash. I wouldn't bother with the food. That was my second time and there won't be a third

This freaking place served my son and I rotted rancid steak on our burritos!!!! Eat here is you want food poisoning!! They must be under new management! We ate here about two years ago and it was actually good that’s why we went back. My son and I took a bite and immediately spit it out it tasted like rotted death it was absolutely disgusting!! I tremble at the thought of what is lurking in that freaking kitchen!!! Seriously appalled and disgusted beyond belief!!! So bad I’m calling the health department for food and safety!!

I got the $7.95 pork Carnitas tacos, worth $7.95, came with beans and rice, had flavor and not dried out. Was edible and decent. We also had chips and salsa and Guacamole, guacamole was good, salsa was very stewed tomato taste, packed seasoning and pop. We also had Mahi fish tacos, they were moist, pineapple salsa made it pop, they were not bad. Waitress was amazing and super friendly! Atmosphere was cute, but a bit rubbed down, tables were a bit dirty and a/c vents were rusted out dripping on the floor next to the tables.

My husband and I have been going to Dos Amigos for 9 years. Our last visit was just that...our last. We were given menus with different prices on it. No one was in there. Some sad bastard by the bar was playing his own play list which consisted of depressing Post Malone songs and Miley Cyrus covers. I was confused and annoyed. The vibe is just not there anymore and the prices have gone up with no change to the quality. It was a living nightmare. Our new place is El Chicos.
Always good food! We were sitting outside when it started raining, the staff came out with the quickness to close the shades for us. We came from the Tampa area and this is our favorite place. They have the California burrito (veggie) which is really good. The steak fajitas are great also.
Vegetarian options: The California burrito with veggies on the side is really good

The atmosphere is good, the food is awesome,BUT the BARTENDER MISSY makes it over the top. She makes you feel special, she’s very knowledgeable about the food and Drinks. Oh and she encourages everyone to sing along, so go for the food but enjoy the service 💕

Picked up order for take out. The hard tacos were soggy. We were only staying 2 miles up the road, and we're hungry, so we did not let them just sit. They did not offer sauces. You'd think they'd come with complimentary chips on the side and salsa even; nope. The meats had no seasoning; tasted blah. With enough sour cream and salsa we had purchased ahead of time at the store with our own nacho, just in case and glad we did, helped give them flavor. One of my tacos (shredded beef) had a big chunk of fat. Yuk Price was good, $4 per taco.

I cannot recommend this place. Stop by for an early dinner. Place was not crowded and still food took way too long to came out. I wouldn’t mind to wait if food quality is good but definitely not the case here.
Food was tasteless. We ordered a steak (asada) and it came out dry, hard and no flavor at all. Side dishes weren’t good either.
If you are looking for an authentic Mexican food or good flavor, look elsewhere.

Nasty ? frozen food was served in the name of mexican cuisine. If tourists want to see top disappointment in melbourne please visit this restaurant. So many other one star review said the same that the food served was disgusting and seemed to be frozen food.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We ordered queso, drunken burrito, chicken fajitas, and a kids Mac and cheese and fries. They didn’t even give us silverware, we had to get them out of the bin ourself.
The salsa was not fresh and tasted like it came out of a jar. The queso had an unmelted block in the middle and the sides were molten hot. The drunken burrito had shredded plastic like cheese melted on top. I took one bite and the chicken was so chewy and not edible. The fajitas were soggy and had no flavor. Chicken was also very chewy. The refried beans were also burnt. The kids Mac and cheese was just box powdered Mac and cheese.
