What a spectacular dining experience. Has to be one of the finest dining we’ve had in years. The panko crusted rainbow trout served with garlic smashed potatoes, fresh green beans, red New England chowder, and ciabatta bread was amazing! Our waiter, Brad, offered excellent selections and made sure we were well taken care of! Thank you for a delightful, epicurean adventure! We will definitely be back on our next visyto Madeira Beach!

I am rating only 3 stars as we had an experience during g our meal this evening which was a disappointment. The menu was quite confusing as it appeared that a bottle of Orin Swift “Abstract” was surprisingly under cost. If you follow the listing under btl it shows the wine being $26.75. I did mention the surprised cost to the waitress. She was no familiar with the wine apparently. I chose to order the bottle given the appearance of the cost. At the end of the meal a mgr did stop by and when I expressed surprise at the cost of the wine, he stated not the btl was $70. I did show him his the price appeared on the menu, he disagreed and stated obviously that’s not the cost.
I would expect as frequent customers this would have been handled differently by management.

Years ago , this is one of the better seafood restaurants on the beach. Last time we were here, Hulk Hogan was dining with his first wife.
Well, it wasn't that way during our recent visit.
We started with an appetizer.. the escargot lobster. This was good.
But it went downhill from there.
I had the shrimp and grits. The grits were not edible.
My wife had the grouper fried and it was a small portion with dark meat.
When I asked our waitress what is going on. She told me that the chef is new and is learning the menu 🙄.
We had no wait, but we made reservations.

Where should I start? Food! We ordered 4 different kinds of meals and it was all good 😋. The crab cake was delicious!!!!! Love my sea bass panko crusted fish, my son had the soup, his friend had the seafood with pasta and my there kid had the fish and chips. All were cooked perfectly. If in this area, try this place, you won’t regret it. Also, didn’t mention that it’s just across the beach?

Visiting for the weekend and stopped in here for lunch and it was amazing. Incredible reasonably priced food and our server Kim was the best. She gave us multiple recommendations on things to do and food to get and she didn’t miss. 5/5

Service was good. Food was meh, I could taste the frozen flavor in my fish and it was very “wet”, especially on the bottom, I presume from being thawed. The buratta appetizer was fine. I just felt for the price it should be better. We went to an Italian restaurant south of here and paid the same price, and the food was so good compared to this restaurant.

We've been eating at Guppys for years and we still love it! We took friends yesterday and they loved it too! It was my dad's favorite restaurant for many years. I love Guppys and have never had bad food or service. Sit under the outdoor overhang and enjoy! The food is great.
FROZEN SHRIMP SERVED AT A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE BEACH????? Are you kidding me?
We eat here on our annual visits and are usually very satisfied with the food and service. HOWEVER, this time we were very disappointed. We came early to take advantage of their specials. I ordered the coconut shrimp and my wife order the fried shrimp. After our first bite we looked at each other. I said “this taste like frozen shrimp”. My wife agreed. We asked the waitress and she confirmed it was indeed frozen shrimp. Every restaurant we have eaten at on the gulf has always had fresh shrimp. It never dawned on me I would need to ask “is your shrimp fresh or frozen?” while dining in a seafood restaurant that is located across the street from the beach.
One highlight of our meal was the fish chowder - it was very tasty. The bread and dipping oil is a nice touch while waiting for your food to be prepared. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The restaurant has the feel of an upscale eating establishment.
IF we were to return I would probably order the fish chowder and a salad.

Guppy’s atmosphere on the patio was great. The soup and salad was good. The Maui Maui was also good. However, if you came to the area for fresh shrimp, don’t come here. The shrimp on the early menu was frozen. It was very disappointing. The service from Renata was good. She was attentive and knowledgeable.
