Guppy's On the Beach

We arrived for birthday dinner reservation and were stunned to discover Guppy's was closed for renovations, despite opentable emails the week prior and again the day before to reconfirm. The painter working there said they have been closed for over a week. We always enjoyed meals at Guppy's, very disappointed we not notified they were closed.

Guppies is always a favorite of mine. I ordered the special, however, and the mahi-mahi was quite dry. This was a bit disappointing as I have had such wonderful experiences at guppies. It tasted very much like a fish that have been frozen for too long.

Guppy’s is delicious! One of our favorite places for seafood. Mackenzie was our server today and she was awesome. Very attentive and so nice 😊

We've been going to guppies for over 20 years. Always an awesome meal prepared by the chef. Servers are friendly and do a great job.

Excellent food. The lobster bisque best I've ever had. You all need to try the angels on horseback even if you don't like oysters. So yummy.

This is our FAVORITE restaurant in Indian Rocks Beach. It never disappoints!!! The Lobster Crab cake was divine!!

Guppy's is right across the street from Indian Rocks Beach County park. We walked over to get Linner ( late lunch early dinner) and was pleasantly surprised.
Happy hour went till 5:15 and we were killing time to get pics of the sunset on the beach.
Friendly staff clean facility and the food was great .
No wait to be seated and they have inside and outside dining areas. Rebekah was our server and she took great care of us.

This place never disappoints. I grew up in Indian Rocks Beach and even though I’ve moved away, this is where I like to go when I’m back. if I’m eating on Indian Rocks, I’m eating here. The food is consistently delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and you can always count on a great experience. A true local favorite that never lets you down.

Waiter appeared to be high or drunk. Took forever to get our food, because the waiter forgot to put in our order. And on top of that, when we wanted refills, I had to get them from the bar. Imagine walking up to the bar and getting sodas to take back to your table each time. The food wasn’t worth all these issues.

My food scale is 1 to 5. Nothing I ate was above average. The service was above average.
But they were having a party that night. So they set a tabletop for 30
And the rest of the customers had to sit outside.
It was a chilly night.

Guppy’s on the Beach in Indian Rocks Beach delivered a superb dining experience. We began with the Asian sashimi, which was fresh and well balanced, followed by a tuna salad that was both light and flavorful. The standout entrée was the blackened Australian sea bass—perfectly cooked, rich yet delicate—topped with a decadent Cajun brandy mustard sauce that elevated every bite. The accompanying broccoli and coleslaw were fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared, rounding out the dish nicely.

An exceptional meal and a restaurant we would enthusiastically recommend to anyone looking for delicious seafood with bold, memorable flavors.
