Hubby and I stopped today with our grandchildren (5 & 9). Our first visit but we will return when in the area. We sat outside and Jason was our server, he was very attentive. He was knowledgeable regarding the menu and made recommendations when asked.
First of all they have a good children's menu (not just mac & cheese or hotdogs, like many places) and it is very fairly priced... maybe add a kid sized drink choice and it wouldbeperfect. Hubby had the Philly and I had the Oyster Po Boy... mine was on the special menu. They were both very good... they have awesome rolls. The cole slaw and fries were excellent.
The children got a big kick out of signing and hanging a dollar bill.
Great ahi tuna with seaweed salad and ginger. Peel and eat shrimp was delicious.
Oysters were a 10
Shrimp Alfredo would have been way better blacked.
Stopped in for a late dinner. Sat outside, which was nice. The service was great and the food is decent. Started with the oysters Rockefeller, Mai Tai, and Dark & Stormy. Entrees ordered were beer battered shrimp, blackened fish tacos, and coconut shrimp. All was well prepared, hot, Nd tasty. Portions are plenty large for leftovers.
Never been here before. Probably a one-and-done. The food was good, but the service was very slow. We were unfortunate to sit by the server station so we got to hear all the negative comments and the arguing among the staff all night. Very unprofessional. Probably will not be back.
Disappointing first time visit
Clam chowder no
Shrimp po boy, very Salty
Oysters were good could have been a little more on the chilled side
Pina colada no
We went yesterday afternoon. Ordered Grouper sandwiches. We were all a bit surprised and disappointed in the quality and quantity served. It is like they took one fillet and cut it in half horizontally and cooked/served to us. The fish was very thin. Had it fried. It was almost all batter with very little DRY grouper. Maybe they are catering more toward the vacation crowd - one and done and leaning on their past reputation - but as a local that has been going off and on since the 1990's, it was VERY disappointing. I used to recommend everyone I knew coming down to visit Clearwater to go to PJ's and Frenchy's. I cant recommend PJ's anymore since it appears to be a money grab tourist trap restaurant now. Sad to see and experience. For what they charge, we should expect more.
I love the look of the place, it was very nice inside, I liked the bird. It wasn’t busy, came at lunch time. Our server was nice, wasn’t nothing crazy. I got a cheeseburger with fries. Also wasn’t anything crazy. The fish tacos were very good though. It’s a little pricey. Nice place
As always, it was great!

PJ'S is a local treat. The food is good along with good service. I've been eating there for at least 30 years and have never been disappointed. I'll always go back when in the area!

We were Familiar with PJ's in St. Pete Beach, which is currently closed due to the hurricanes. So we tried this one. Menus are near the same with a few exceptions. We started out with Nicole at the bar and I had a mojito and a dozen ? oysters. They come from the east coast and were great and also had a mojito. She got grouper nuggets also wonderful. She won't drink anything except Budweiser in a bottle and I had a mojito. The menu says baked potato not available until after 5pm but the shift changed and Jeannine our replacement server said oh yeah you can get baked ? now. They are ready. So I then ordered Chicago Grouper with baked ? and coleslaw and a mojito. She decided to go with Jeanine's recommendation the baked scallops instead of the crab cakes with a baked ? and coleslaw and I got a mojito. We both liked the coleslaw and the baked potatoes were great. Now the Chicago Grouper was absolutely the ? knee's to me and then I tried her scallops. She never eats her full portion. She did tonight and I had a mojito. Only complaint is the bill was a little stiff. But we ate like ? and Lil Princess oh and I had another Mojito. I think I set some sort of new record for the amount of those one can drink in a night, when generally I have about 1 a year. Anyways we had a great night with great staff and other local customers and definitely recommend the foods we tried along with mojito. This is a top place for us now that we live just down the road. Although not sure I need another mojito anytime soon.
