Tj's Italian Cafe

I would love to give a review about the food at TJ’s, but unfortunately we never got a table. My brother had made reservations for 7:30. When he called for a reservation that was the earliest that was available. My brother specifically said we wanted seating inside as it was very breezy and chilly. We arrived a little early and had to stand in a lengthy line just to check in. Another group got in line just after us. They also had a 7:30 reservation. We were a party of 4 and they were a party of 6. Others checked in after them. We made our way to the very back of the small bar area near the restrooms so that we were out of the way of the servers. We were never asked if we wanted a drink or if we could be helped in any way. Our reservation time came and went. At about 7:45 my brother went to check on the status of our table. The young man at the counter said he wasn’t able to give us a time frame, that there were people coming in ahead of us. Mind you we had already checked in. We continued to wait. After another 15 minutes, we noticed that the party of 6, that had checked in after us, had been seated. We then saw a party of 8, that wasn’t even in line when we were, also being seated. I then went to the bar and asked for the manager. One of the bartenders asked what he could help me with. I explained the situation. I was admittedly not happy. He proceeded to tell me that they would never seat a party of 4 at a 6 person table and that is why the other party, again who checked in after us, got the table first. While I totally disagreed with the rationale, I asked why the other party got seated before us as well. He asked me how many were in that party. By this time I was just ticked! I told him I had no idea how many were in the party, that we had been trying to stay out of the way of the servers. And why should I need to keep track of other parties. It wasn’t until after this other party was seated that I could see they were a party of 8. The bartender told me he would talk to the young man that was seating people but he never did. By this point, the only other party that hadn’t been seated beside us was a party of 2. Everyone else, all those that had come in after us, had been seated. It was at this time my brother decided to call Villa Gallace. He explained our situation and was told to come on down to their restaurant. When we got there we were immediately seated and treated like we were VIP’s. Luigi, the owner, checked on us himself several times. The food was just as wonderful as the service. As we were leaving, Luigi held the door for us, shook my brother and husband’s hand, and gave my sister-in-law and me a hug. TJ’s - you should take a lesson from Villa Gallace how to make every customer feel valued. Shame on you TJ’s!

Amazing Italian food & great service!!!!
We had a rehearsal dinner here for about 30 people…they had it all set up for us when we arrived so we just sat down & enjoyed. The servers were absolutely the best! If you are ever near Indian Rocks Beach you have to check TJ’s out!!

LOVED the food, the service and atmosphere! Chris provided us great menu suggestions and exceptional service. Stuffed mushrooms and chicken Marsala was delicious!

This honestly, was the best meal and service that I’ve had in a long time. Our waiter (Chris) was exceptional. If (when) you go, see if he has a table open. I had the Far falls with chicken (I can’t remember the name) and it was delicious. The fresh spinach and sun dried tomatoes were plentiful and I enjoyed every bite.

Absolutely the best dining experience we have enjoyed during our vacation at IRB. We were blessed with an outstanding waiter named Chris. His attentiveness and service made the entire experience exceptional. The food was amazing, I highly recommend the restaurant. We will be back.

Jenny our server was FANTASTIC! As our large party was coming inside and being seated we could see our water glasses being filled. The food was excellent, hot, and fresh. Jenny got our order correct! Ask for her when you go into eat, as she was the best. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to come back next year!

The service, food and atmosphere were perfect for our family. We especially liked the antipasto salad, piccata chicken and dessert! There are tons of items to choose from and the pizza looked amazing but we didn’t get it. They even have gluten free pizza.

Vegetarian options: You would have to manipulate but you could do so

Parking: Easy parking but a right parking lot

Kid-friendliness: Great foods to choose from for kiddos.
