Best BBQ in Duval!

My husband and I were seated by the hostess and we sat at our booth for 20 minutes and no one came over to get our drink or food order. Another couple came in and they had not been seated and got immediate service. I stopped to talk to the hostess o. The way out the door but she was no help. It’s sad that the restaurant wasn’t busy and they had waiters/waitresses standing around chatting but no one thought it was important to acknowledge us.

This franchise is a good representation of the Mojo brand. And on a weekday, the restaurant was quieter than the Avondale or University Blvd. locations.

I normally don't write reviews for takeout meals because I just can't feel the vibe of the place, but I could feel the aura of the MOJO Brisket Sandwich from a mile away.

I wanted a clean option after an all day bender on the 4th of July, so opted to get the brisket sandwich with a side salad for lunch. I'll admit, not my cleanest choice... could have been a lot worse though. I don't know why red meat gets such a bad rap... plus a salad instead of the mac? I'm God's strongest soldier.

The sandwich came FULLY LOADED with dense, savory brisket. The bun didn't stand a chance to contain that amount of tender, juicy meat. You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him.

The brisket quite literally melted in my mouth... drizzled a little of their bbq sauce on there too... Vet move. I hope you too can experience this one day, my dear reader.
