Good, not great. Food was good. The room was pretty loud considering it was only half full. It took 8 minutes for the server to show up. Took an hour and 45 minutes for our entrees to show up. Service was average at best. The food was good but not for the price. The sushi was probably the best part. I've been other places that are in the same price range and the overall experience is significantly better. I honestly don't think I will be back.

So incredibly sad to see this place closing. Especially when there is no problem with the business, their food, or the staff. Jacksonville Beach has lost a real gem is a real gem

Food excellent. service not as attentive as in past but like other restaurants during COVID, likely short-staffed. Staff pleasant. Drinks great. A bit noisy considering fairly low occupancy compared to their usual.

One of the best meals I've had in sometime. So looking forward to another visit. I had the chef's andouille crusted white fish with grits and Brussel sprouts.

The Mahi was overcooked and dry. We were hosting another couple and didn't send it back because they had started eating.

Roy's is consistently good--not amazing but consistently good. The ambiance could be better for the price point.

We were warmly greeted, and our special occasion noted, so that was nice. It took forever to get our food. The apps weren't hot, and we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for a looong time between each course. My steak was perfectly cooked and delicious; the lobster was very salty. My husband's fish was also cooked perfectly. The noise level was insane.

Wife and I had a night without the kids and choose Roy's. Alway ms enjoy this place, we go about 1-2 a year. I don't mind spending the high dollar amount for a nice quality meal and ambiance of the dinning room. My wife looked super hot all dressed up, so I give her 5 stars as well.

Used to love the Jax Beach location, but very disappointed last night. Musty smelling bar...didn't offer 3 of the 4 sushi rolls on the menu...the one I did get was average. Then the salad I ordered was so far from the quality Roy's used to offer. Yet the cost for all of it was still high considering the quality of the food. Not sure I will go back.

Now closed and possibly gone forever! This has been my families go to for celebrations for decades, including Orlando, Tampa, and Bonita Springs. Heck we just hosted my sons rehearsal dinner here for 40 in March. Ugh, now where will we go for those fabulous Roy's Hawaiian Martinis????

Top notch service. Delicious food. Mahi mahi was devoured, tiger shrimp with udon noodles were even more yummy than the description implied. A bit of a budget stretcher, but we try to return as often as we can. Never disappoints.

Edited to add: The restaurant responded to this post, but I received no response when I did email them. Seems their responses here are just to make it seem they care.I wanted to love it, but waiting almost an hour for 2 appetizers and another 90 minutes for two entrees is just unacceptable. Tried making the best of it and having drinks while we waited but those took 30-45 minutes to get each time. Our server did the best he could but after an hour of waiting he just said he had no idea what was going on in the kitchen and the food would just come out eventually and there was nothing much he could do other than wait.Such a shame because when it did come out, the food was delicious...or maybe we were just starving since we had arrived at 6:30 and it was almost 9 by the time we ate...

Great food as well as ambiance. First time ever going and it definitely won't be the last.

Food wasn't excellent! My husband had the ahi which was perfect. I had the butterfish and braised short rib combo. I think the rib needed more sauce but was otherwise wonderful. We done normally eat dessert but we had the flourless chocolate soufflé which was incredible. Everything was A little pricey but wasn't worth it.
