1st time visiting this brewery this past Sunday 2/16 before a show at Florida Theatre.. 1st the positives: Really nice atmosphere, and the beer was decent too.. The Negative is that the bartender padded my check; YES....., after I left he went back into the square device and edited my tip and gave himself an extra $2.. I discovered this when i got my credit card statement 2 days after being there. I checked and compared against my copy of the receipt and discovered what he did.. This upsets me on principle because I worked in the industry for many years and am aware that that dishonest people sometimes do this;, so I tried calling Ruby Beach a few times and left messages to let them know what happened but no one ever returned my call.. I also tried contacting Ruby Beach on their Facebook page via messenger and no reply at all. I then tried researching who the owner was and online it shows that Mark Vandeloo is the owner so I tried him via messenger on LinkedIn and explained the issue and asked him to please call me today or I was going to leave negative reviews online and on social media. He never responded and still no callback from Ruby Street brewing so I guess they do not care and this is how they run their business.. Total fraudsters, I will not be going back..

Great brewery. They have indoor seating and outdoor as well in a deck and a beer garden. Their beers are phenomenal, and with great variety.

Ruby Beach Brewing Company was our first craft beer stop in Jacksonville. Apparently, Jacksonville Florida has a burgeoning craft beer movement which includes over 30 craft beer breweries listed in the city itself! Our original first stop this evening was actually Intuition Ale Works but there was a fire that occurred next door, forcing the police and fire department to barricade the place altogether. After a quick visit to the waterfront to see the sun set, we headed over to Ruby Beach Brewing Company instead…

We arrived at Ruby Beach Brewing Company just after 6pm and we were able to get some street parking just steps away (street parking was free after 6pm). Inside Ruby Beach Brewing Company, the vibe was casual and relaxed. We could sit wherever we wanted. Note that Ruby Beach Brewing Company does not have service and there is no food available on its menu as well. Hence, we sat close to the bar, analysed the day’s menu before deciding what drinks to have this evening.

Here are the craft beers available this evening during our visit:

1. Flying Saucer – American Lager 5.2% – $5
2. American Garage – West Coast IPA 6% – $6
3. Scallywag – Fruit Sour 6.2% – $7
4. Fear the Beer – Blackberry Wheat w/Lime 6% – $7
5. Crown Jewel – Belgian Tripel 10.3% – $7
6. Captain Finn’s Berried Treasure – Berry Sour 6.2% – $7
7. It takes a Lager Drink – Helles Bock 7.1% – $7
8. Haymaker Brown – Coffee Brown 5.8% – $7
9. Tmavé Pláž – Czech Dark Lager 5.3% – $6
10. Femme Fatale – Belgian Blond 6% – $6
11. Double Ditch – Imperial NEIPA 8.1% – $7
12. Brewster’s Paradise – Rye NEIPA 6.4% – $7
13. Rocko’s Modern IPA – Mandarin Orange IPA 6% – $7
14. J-Villain Juice – Blueberry Lime Sour 6.2% – $7
15. Ode to the Abyss – Oak Aged Imperial Stout 9.8% – $7
16. Sour Du Jour – Golden Sour w/Puree of the Day 6.2% – $6
17. Blueberry Lemonade – Seltzer 5.3% – $5
18. Citrus Seltzer w/Lemon, Lime & Orange 5.3% – $5
19. B.Nektar – Black Tea and Lemon Mead 6% – $8
20. Redstone – Apricot Mead 8% – $7
21. Original Sin – Pineapple Haze Cider 6% – $8
22. Congaree & Penn – Gallberry Cider 5% – $7
23. Gnarbucha – Kombucha – $5
24. Beer Flight (Any 4 beers) – $12

This evening, we ordered the Double Ditch Imperial IPA ($7), Ode to the Abyss Imperial Stout ($7) and the Flying Saucer American Lager ($5). There was a 7.5% Florida tax added to the bill.

Haven't even been here in person. But I've been drinking their Scally Wag Fruited Sour since I arrived in Florida and it's the best thing I've ever had. I read it's a little too sour for some, but to my tongue it's divine. Pucker up sweetheart.

Cute guys with mustaches hang out here. Also great beer, drinks and food trucks!

Best wedding venue. We shared our special night at Ruby beach and could not have been happier with the set up, location, and service of the staff. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to schedule a wedding. Allison was a crucial piece of getting all things prepared and could not have done it without her.

Choose your chill spot at Ruby Beach Brewing. You can sit at the bar, inside, or outside on the bi-level outdoor seating area. Excellent crafts beet. In-bar cat is a bonus. The Hungry Owl is the on-site food truck with varying hours.
