When I lived in Jax beach, this was my favorite spot to grab lunch and dinner. I have been here several times and the vibes were so nice. Fast foward to 2023..new owner, new experience. I brought 6 guests with me as it was my daughters birthday. When you enter, they tell you to sit anywhere and we sat outside. The waitress (hooters uniform?) comes to our table very upset rolls her eyes and asks us what we are drinking. I asked for a pina colada. Never in my life would I think that would cause such chaos. She asks me for ID and because I wasnt driving that night forgot to bring it. No problem...I'll have a virgin colada..(death stare) My father (67 yo) asks for a beer and she asks him for ID. He makes a joke about how he looks good for 67 years of age and HOLY COW! The waitress has a complete psycho meltdown giving my father a staredown for over 2 minutes with no words and starts accusing us of being on medications/illegal drugs or mentally ill???? What is going on here I said to her. I told my group that we must leave, this server is not right. Before I finish the sentence she comes back and says she is REFUSING TO SERVE US!!! Keep in mind this is for my daughters birthday (11 yo) We asked for the manager because the server was way out of line and the "manager" comes over to ask whats going on. We all told her and the manager agrees with the server/psychologist and refuses to serve us. We were in SHOCK. This has never happened to any of us before. Literally started picking up the plastic menus in front of us while we were getting up to leave. Its almost 9pm we are exhausted from the trip there and cant find any restaurants nearby (no food served anywhere on the beach? signs up everywhere) so we went back to hotel. My daughter cried that night and this establishment ruined the entire trip to Jax. We all felt terrible to be treated this way and it just left us with such a sad vibe all night. I was embarressed that I recommended this place. I cant say racist but coincidence our group was half Jamaican. We felt it. Later I was told by friends that the health inspector should pay them a visit because the place is FILTHY (it was very dingy) and the kitchen should be shut down. A group of 7 - imagine the tab. They lost alot of money from us and we will never go back there again!

Bought tickets to see a well known DJ here & I’m not sure how this place got the money to even host him, but I can say that SALT has no business hosting edm events in general. I honestly just felt so bad for the DJ having to play in such a trash club. The owner is a vile woman who sits in the back booth with her creepy entourage all night and just watches everybody all night. She kicked us out of a show that we paid $30 each to be at and wouldn’t tell us why. Probably because we were dancing and having a good time without spending any money on their trash drinks.Bad venue, bad management, bad vibes. I’ll never attend another event here (or return for any other reason) & I just hope any DJ that may be thinking about playing there sees this and reconsiders

I wanted this place to be good, but it was not. The location sitting next to the beach is good. And our waitress was delightful. But the food was bad. My plate of nachos was big, but was mostly chips with not enough cheese or chicken. And the cheese sauce was bland. The fish tacos were just bad. The seasoning on the fish was very off putting and not good on fish. Overall, don’t go.

Ordered a hookah, it wasn’t very good. Repack was garbage and didn’t get fresh coals in time before closing. We bought a bottle just for a table (not a section) & to verbally it was okau. Had to pay for Red Bull I top of club price for a 750ml Casamigos. Prefer club heaven.
