There is a security on the second floor who took me out. I was with my family for 7 hours in the place and when it was full, he took my things off the table and placed those of the new person. When I asked, the manager told me that it was him and has taken me out

It’s a weird atmosphere and not at all true to what surfer mag was about. The djs were blasting dubstep and house. It feels like a cheap club you’d find in a college town and something you’d only think is cool if you’re underage

pay with cash if possible, they like to add tips without your consent

The bouncer was so disrespectful I will never be coming back and I will never in my life recommend this place. you’re the face of the bar, it’s not a good look. If you run this place and know who the bouncer in the red hoodie is ide recommend having a conversation with him because you’re losing customers and respect

The best is the beauty, friendliness and attention of the girlsThere was a brunette that we fell in love with, I asked her name several times but I didn't understand itWe ordered several mojitos and the truth is that they were very full, I'm old and I can't keep up with that pace. They invited me to a Cubata and the next day I was hungover, what a shame I'm not youngI already told them to take advantage now and the girls started shouting and had a shot, they were very funnyIt's a shame that I was only passing by for one day because if I lived there I would go every weekend and I'm sure I would end up being friends with the waitresses and who knows if that could lead to a courtshipIt's a shame to live in Spain, damn jobs

I went one time here and the place was a mess. The security guards are very rude and racism. I saw the security guards not letting to go in because they want money I don’t recommend this place to no one. It’s not safe at all because I have seen younger kids smoking inside They let teenager inside Man and girls in one bathroom. Sorry but not safe

Horrible experience. My boyfriend and I attempted to go into this bar (at 6:30pm) when we approached, we were stopped by a doorman requesting to see our ID (totally valid request as it is a bar) We each presented our Canadian drivers licenses to which we were told were not accepted. I offered to provide a secondary piece (credit card with my name and also my other government issued health care card. The young man then said that he couldn't accept them and would need an American ID??? We are Canadian! (To add we are also 40 years old). Once I questioned him about not having a US ID due to being Canadian. He changed his tune to we need a passport to enter. I'm sorry but I'm not taking my passport out to go drinking. Absolutely will not go back to this place. Foreigners beware!!!!!

To be fair- this Review is based solely on the rude and disrespectful manager as we didn’t stay for more than a drink! Whoever the manager is on MLK day was a complete condescending and rude individual. I would not like someone like him representing my restaurant!!!2pm: we saw the large screen on and checked in to see if they would be showing the Eagles vs Bucs playoff game with sound. Given they are usually closed Monday and Tuesday we wanted to make sure this would be the spot to watch the game. We were assured they would be showing the game with sound by the day time bartender.8pm: Came back for the game. Maybe 20 people in the bar. Sweetest and nicest female bartender- looks like a Barbie doll- asks the manager twice to put the game and sound on. Manager tells her to tell us wait a bit until the place clears out.We wait for the first quarter... mind you half the patrons in the bar are watching the game and the rest don't give AF what's happening. We ask the manager directly for sound on the game and explain we asked earlier and were told they would have the game and sound on. Manager tells us "oh you made the mistake thinking you were In charge" and "oh so you're gonna give me an ultimatum"? No- we just politely explained why we had the expectation we could have sound and the game given our interaction with the bartender earlier in the day and because we just left Brix sports bar around the corner who had way more TV's and sound. So Why would we stay somewhere that isn't a true sport bar catering to sports fans during the NFL playoff if that truly wasn't their intention. I even asked if we could ask the other patrons if they minded if we had the sound on- he responded "they are here for MLK day" not NFL.Hello- it's a Monday night in January! And a holiday! Ain't nobody trying to be at the club! We want to watch Football! Playoff Football!! Only place In Town with a theatre screen but doesn't cater the sports patrons. SMH! No wonder why Brix is packed and y'all barely got 20 people...If you're the owner of Surfers- it really doesn't hurt to be pleasant to your holiday patrons and oblige their simple request of sound for an NFL playoff game. If it's not something y'all do, no biggie, but clearly it's been done given the response by your bartenders.Won't be back. Def hit up Brix. More TV's and sound for your sports needs. Bartenders may not be as friendly but they get the job done with no complaints.Oh and your bartender is moving to Nashville she told us cause she can't stand working there either ‍

Ambiance is cool. The vibe is trash. Dj caters to old popular hip hop music for the masses. Make sure not to request anything because they may accuse you of harassing the DJ and give you a warning to kick you out. Essentially this place is borderline racist covering for a cool surfer vibe. Place had so much potential. If they get with times maybe it will level up.

This was an interesting place, not quite the vibe I was expecting based on the name. I was expecting a laid back chill bar with some good music and drinks. What I got was a loud club atmosphere that was hard to talk over with a 10min wait at the bar. We did enjoy the outdoor space because it was quieter and had a fun soccer/table game. But it was just too loud for me to enjoy myself.

The Blue Angels were performing at Jax Beach ⛱️ and we got there early enough to check out the local spots, and we landed at the Surfer. The weather was great out, and we had a spot at the bar they have downstairs overlooking 1st street. It's just about 2 blocks south from the Pier. We had Twisted Tea on draft, and it was refreshingly better than what comes in the can. It was amazing. The servers were professional, and the atmosphere was perfect. The prices were decent as well. I'm definitely going to go back and visit. Maybe next time we'll make it upstairs and try their food out.

Surfer Bar is amazing. I have been there 3 times. Its the closest thing jacksonille to a fun nightclub. The DJ's are amazing (that's the best part) and the ladies that come there are gorgeous. The lights and the vibe and are just amazing. The only con is they don't serve food here. But there's alot of nearby restaurants u can walk to.
