I am from near Philadelphia and finally found a true cheesesteak it’s not a big place but mighty good food they only have one size hubby & I split one and it’s more than enough be hungry if you eat a whole one

Great sandwiches - especially the Philly, however, the hours of operation make it impossible to enjoy one for dinner. Thats the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating. Not a single day open after 4:00pm, sad!! Please change this!

Excellent subs. I travel to FL from overseas once a year and I make sure to hit surfwiches at least once. It is on my ‘must do’ list.

I have been supporting this establishment since the day they opened it. The owner is out of control, hostile, angry, and apparently does not know the definition of customer service when you’re running a business. His behavior is actually scary! Today was so bad that I asked for my money back, walked out and will never return to this establishment. I simply ordered two chicken Phillies and asked on one of them if he could keep the bread separate than the meat/cheese so that when my husband eats it for dinner tonight, he can make put the meat/cheese on the bread to eat it fresh since I was buying it at lunchtime. His response was “Didn’t I tell you about this last time we stand by our product and I’ll eat one of my sandwiches three days later after I make it and it’s even better sitting in the bread.” My response was “ I thought you were joking. Last time you told me you weren’t doing that anymore and maybe you like it that way, but our preference is to put it together freshly when we’re ready to eat it in the evening and you’re not open in the evening so that’s why I order it like that”. Then he proceeded to yell at me “why don’t I just give you the chicken and you can make it yourself”. I said how about you just give me my money back and I’ll just go someplace else and I will not support your establishment anymore. I don’t deserve this with you yelling at me and refusing to do something that is very simple and doesn’t cost you an extra dime or any extra effort. Very scary that somebody acts like this over putting bread to one side and meat and cheese to another. He slammed the counter door, went to the register and gave me my money and continued to rent at me as I walked out the door. You just don’t treat people like that. It was quite uncomfortable and intense situation over a request on a sandwich.

Best sub on the beach!!! They’re HUGE so go hungry or with a friend!

Best philly in jax by far the owner works very hard and the whole crew does an exceptional job with customer service.

Good food and sandwiches 🥪 but avoid the shakes or ice cream. Received sour ice cream 🍦 and milkshakes.

Be sure to come into this joint HUNGRY this place ain't afraid to pack on the meat! You most definitely feel like you get what you paid for when your meal is presented. So glad that word of mouth highlighted this establishment. Thanks for making this a WAVE of out of the norm sandwich shop. I look forward to trying everything on the menu in the future!

Best sub I have had in years! Stopped in Jacksonville for a short trip, OMG this sub shop is the best!
We got the Italian and the cheesesteak. Cheesesteak is real ribeye meat, and the Italian was loaded with meat. Both delicious!
We wanted to go back and get one to take home, but never made it but it will definitely be the first stop if we come back here again.

Had a Rachel and a tuna sub. Rachel was OK lots of meat, not much coleslaw or dressing and it seemed more like whole wheat bread than rye/pumpernickel. The tuna sub smelled and tasted like cat food or some real grainy watery Sysco tuna, sorry not edible.

When I picked up the Italian sub sandwich, it was WEIGHTY. I got it home and could barely finish half. I'm from NY so my standards are pretty high food-wise. They hit the bulls eye! I'm gonna start working my way thru the rest of the menu.

These are the best sandwiches I’ve had in this part of the world. High quality ingredients and craftsmanship. Hats off to the kick ass staff, really raising the bar for hoagies in Florida
