This restaurant may be in a gas station, but it has terrific Southern cooking. When I don't feel like cooking, I finally have a restaurant to go to. It tastes just like it came out of my own kitchen. The grits are amazing. They are truly Southern grits.
Apparently there is more than one Front Porch Cafe! We stopped here thinking they had Chicken and Waffles. Unfortunately they did not and it's the other Front Porch Cafe that has that item on their menu. Instead we had the catfish sandwich and the chicken fried steak. Food was good and flavorful. Had a pancake on the side that was good with syrup. Pricing was good too. It's a small dining room that's quaint. Would eat here again to try a different menu item.
On the drive to FL, we saw the sign on the billboard "Gator and taters". I know we had to stop!! OMG it was the BEST breakfast I've ever had!!! I wish it was closer to home. I would go every day! Staff was very happy and welcoming as well. Loved it!
Great little diner, hidden in the Busy Bee plaza. Hubby had a veggie Cuban sandwich, and he said the sauce was delicious, the sandwich not too heavy, just excellent. How funny that in his quest for the "perfect" Cuban sandwich the meatless one won ?. Good service too. Only downside was the diner was freezing.
Kid-friendliness: Waitresses was patient and accommodating.

Absolutely love the front porch cafe, great place to stop on a road trip or visit locally. Clean, friendly, with great food and always a friendly and talkative crowd but never overcrowded, one of our favorite restaurants- also accepts careless payment even in the restaurant for those who maybe have lost their card on a road trip this time around ?? very hospitable, great place to eat. Their chicken tenders, fries, pulled pork and sweet tea is great, and they have amazing key lime pie and a great store connected
A surprising find inside a truck stop. Robust menu with all sorts of items. Full menu served all day, including breakfast items. Great prices and generous portions. Good Southern cooking and hospitality I look for when I’m traveling. Our server was friendly and made tasty recommendations. The old country music playing in the restaurant added to the warmth and familiarity that goes with Southern cooking.Look for the Busy Bee sign at the gas station. We’ll be back.
We were passing through and stopped in. The waitress was super friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s tough to find vegetarian options on the road but they have the most delicious veggie Reuben. My husband was very impressed by the Reuben and we both loved the orange sunshine pie! We will be back next time!
The food was delicious the customer service was in a plus plus plus as well we actually ate there again in the evening for dinner and the food was absolutely amazing as well as the desserts (nice warm brownies and Hummingbird cake) Everything is fresh homemade great seasoning not too salty just write even the gator sausage was a first for me and was very good those are the sausage you see in the picture. You definitely Get your money's worth and it doesn't take a long time to be served I will go there again and again and again
Parking: Plenty
Surprisingly excellent food and great service. Prices were reasonable all thing considered. I honestly did not expect it to be that great of an experience due to being connected to what looks like a truck stop. Will come back some time!

Night shift RocksBest food ever..I love the atmosphere, an the people...will always go back..Thanks for best birthday dinner ever..
This good is great but unfortunately I didn't get pictures prior to devouring it ?On the other hand, I do have several other fun facts about the other nuggets I noticed under the same roof.... Also pictures of what I purchased ?Nice souvenirs in the gas station adjacently attached to the cafe for you to pick up on the way to Ga from FL; Incase you left a few people out, after your solo trip ??.... Clean restrooms and quick, novelty, and much more food options to choose from. Also, what I probably went here for, lol... There are several gas stations with ample parking. Even parking space for large trucks/vehicles.
Kid-friendliness: This is a place that you can feel safe bringing your children to for restrooms, a bite to eat, and other things they may or may not need ?
Parking: There's a gas station connected, so definitely enough parking space.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a gas station connected, so there is accessibility both in parking/entering; as well as in public restrooms.
My mother & I were driving across country. We were just going to order food to go but when I walked in to look at a menu, i was instantly greeted by a server named Tabatha. Her welcoming southern charm changed our minds & we decided to dine in. The food & prices were just as great! I ate mine & half of my mother's. The service was amazing, the food was delicious & surprising came out very quick & you can't beat the price. We decided to make it a tradition to stop in every time we pass through from now on. Great place! Highly recommend!
Stopped in the Front Porch Cafe for a bite to eat on our way home, the food was great, Tabitha our server was fabulous even though they were short staffed she was still on top of things! Bubba was the cook, the food was hot, fresh, and tastes amazing! This will be added to our list of places to stop for a bite to eat! I highly recommend this little cafe!
Wanted a sit down breakfast after traveling for four hours and it was a great choice. Food was great. Service was exceptional. The only setback was that there is only one cook on duty so it took awhile for our food but when it arrived it was fabulous. Prices are reasonable as well.
