Dickey's Barbecue Pit

After avoiding Dickeys for a long time because they were always out of food we decided to give it another try. Once again, the turkey wasn't done yet so we subbed chicken, they charged us the same and gave us like 5 tiny slices for a large salad. Then we specifically asked for the point part of the brisket, they gave us all flat and the end which were super dry. So disappointed! We regret we gave them another try and WILL NOT be back. It's always something with this place!

As a barbecue enthusiast who typically frequents sit-down, mom-and-pop establishments, I approached Dickey's with some apprehension. Keeping in mind that Dickey's is more of a fast-food style restaurant than a true sit-down dining experience, I was actually pleasantly surprised and found it comparable to some of the sit-down barbecue experiences I've had in the past. My judgment on ribs is admittedly a bit skewed from a pitiful recent experience at the South Florida fair, but I was pleasantly surprised with Dickey's ribs nevertheless - tender and flavorful. The brisket was decent though reminiscent of beef jerky - not bad, but not exceptional either. The kielbasa met expectations - it's hard to mess up. Their sides were a mixed bag: the mac and cheese reminded me of KFC's (not a bad thing), while the baked potato casserole (essentially loaded mashed potatoes) was the weakest link but still edible. Their hot honey sauce surpasses Wingstop's but doesn't compete with PDQ or Chick-fil-A's limited-time sandwich sauce. The absolute star was the Texas toast - a perfect 10/10, truly exceptional. The exceedingly friendly and courteous staff enhanced the entire experience. Overall, good value and I would return.

The food was great, chicken with Carolina sauce,and okra, and my husband got the pulled pork with fries and mac-n-cheese. The food was great no complaints there but the woman that took our order treated us like we were an inconvenience to her, and interrupted her playing a game on her phone. I know we all have bad days, but come on you can do better, treat people how you want them to treat you. So all I could do was be extra extra kind to her, and that definitely bothered her. I'll never understand why someone works in retail, or the food industry when they clearly don't like people. If you can even be a little nice, get a different job. No one wants to be treated like scrap and then sit down and eat food.

If I can give this place zero I would went last night with my wife paid over $30 for two sandwiches that wasn’t even worth the money the food was disgusting on top of whatever I ordered jalapeño sausage made me sick to my stomach which I’m still sick waking up this morning from it Soggy french fries then offering my wife a side of coleslaw which was probably worth like a dollar avoid this place at all cost it sucks

Good luck with those blah sides. I think there were like 6 choices. I don't eat meat, I asked the lady are your sides homemade and she said something like their sent in from headquarters. Potato salad definitely tasted like Publix ick. The mac & cheese was boring & the okra was good. The green beans had bacon in it so I couldn't get those.
I love BBQ restaurant sides.
& regarding atmosphere turn down the lights! Bright, spotlights.

First time eating at this location. Ordered online easy and picked up in under 10 minutes. The jalapeño cheddar kielbasa was great, brisket was surprisingly dry and tough. That’s usually my favorite at Dickeys so was disappointed. Chalk it up to a single bad experience, will order again and update.

Please don’t get anything to drink here that didn’t come pre-bottled,as the fountain machine is DIRTY & MOLDY!!!. At first I thought it was just rust,but upon clear inspection it really was mold?. They are friendly,ribs was good (prior to me seeing the fountain machine) but please don’t even get lemonade cause all those containers are dirty & nasty. I won’t even eat from here again,cause who knows what else is dirty & moldy behind the counter.

great brisket food was great

First visit and was amazing we have a 3 meat platter with 2 side and Texas toast plus a drink. Soooo delicious

Everything was delicious... BBQ and chicken sandwiches were great, fries are wonderful and love the coleslaw. My friend said that the ribs were the best she has ever had! The ladies at the counter are very friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high but portions are normal. This was our second time here and we will be back. Ya'll need to put one closer to us in Ft. Pierce.

$74 to go order missing a coleslaw side and coleslaw topper . Okra was so salty we tossed it,I sm just done with bad experiences at this location I feel cheated that I tipped $11 to have missing items. I emailed custome service the same day I posted this review, never heard from them thus is just their standard reply to look like the have good cs when actually it is crickets.
