I went to the goose after fishing around 3pm and there was a blonde bartender that was extremely rude to me... I didn't have my wallet on me and offered to show a picture of my id, but instead of being nice about the situation, she tried to degrade me and was being extremely rude with me, and after I left my friend wasn't ready to order a dink, so she told him that he could leave with me mind u I didn't drink I didn't start problems or anything.. she was blonde and a little overweight so if you go in steer clear of her
I’ve been a loyal customer of The Goose Pub for over 12 years, but what recently happened to me was both disappointing and deeply upsetting.
On April 24, 2025, I left the bar with two friends who were intoxicated. During the ride, they had a misplaced phone. Out of responsibility, I personally contacted the owner of the phone, explained who I was, and arranged for it to be left with the bartender at the next bar, The Office. The owner got their phone back with no issue.
The next day, I returned to The Goose and was told—without explanation—that I was banned. A bartender told me I was accused of stealing the phone. I asked them to review the security footage and speak to the owners. Every bartender refused to give me the owners’ contact, and I was treated with zero professionalism or respect. The only thing I was told was that I’d get a call from the owner. That call never came.
Eventually, I was told the ban had been lifted. But when I returned on May 1st, I was met again by hostility. The bartender on duty, Emma, refused to serve me. Despite being calm and respectful, she told me she “felt uncomfortable,” yelled at me, called me names, and had me removed by the police. I was issued a trespass notice just for being there—despite having been told I was welcome back.
What makes this even more painful is that I was the only Black customer present that night. I did nothing wrong, was not disruptive, and yet I was treated like a criminal for trying to enjoy the same space I’ve supported for over a decade.
This wasn’t just bad customer service—it felt like discrimination. I’ve filed a formal complaint with the state and hope no one else has to go through something like this.
I had a terrible experience at The Goose Pub. I was there for most of the night, ordering drinks and tipping every single time—including over-tipping on my second-to-last drink because I knew I’d be heading out soon. Despite that, I was kicked out by a staff member who claimed I didn’t tip her. Not only was this false, but it was also incredibly disrespectful after I’d been nothing but polite and generous the entire evening.
This place is a gem. Not sure how things get so out of control after 2 drinks - they must pour them strong.

They don’t have food here and they don’t offer table service. It’s just a bar so if you want to drink, you gotta go to the bar and order it. Drinks are priced reasonably they allow smoking, but they do have a State of the art ventilation system that removes the smoke from the air. They have Security seven nights a week And the bartenders are fast and professional.

Not sure what these people were expecting. It's a local dive bar. It's not a four-star restaurant. If it's busy and they don't know you of course they're going to take care of their locals. That's their money. Could be that tourist attitude.I rarely go to bars because people like these people. Get a life. I had fun the time I went

I’m a local. I never go here but thought I’d give it a try since I had friends in town. Bartender opened with “I don’t drink beer so I don’t have a recommendation”. Ordered islamarda because I get it weekly at Carson’s Tarven (would recommend). The beer was flat. Tried to tell the bartender and she told me “we get a keg once a week. No way it is bad. You are wrong”. She doesn’t drink beer. I drink this beer weekly. Horrible establishment. Waste of money. Do not come here. Horrible bartenders and flat beers

Fun dive bar! Great pool tables, really fun!
They made an amazing spicy Margarita. There was a band that was amazing! The mussels were seasoned nicely. Our server was amazing, I wish I could remember his name. We were there late on a Friday. 6 of us came in an hour before closing. I will be going back. Only thing is, if your in a group and the band is playing, you won't be able to hear each other easily lol. But that's not a bad problem. We can talk after.
