Akiyo Hibachi Japanese Restaurant

I made a reservation for 6:30 pm for hibachi cook on the table. When I arrived they only have two tables. One table had not received their food and the other table had just gotten their food. I was looking at a minimal wait of 30 to 60 minutes with 3 young grandchildren so I left.

We went for Galentine's Day. The owner actually cooked at our Hibachi table. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a show and he "lectured" us the entire time about the economy and cost of eggs. The food was ok but he doesn't have a liquor license so they only serve beer and wine. I probably won't return. I'll drive to Stuart for Fuji Yama.

They were very nice to accommodate our group of 12, for which we made a prior reservation. The service and food were good, but the restaurant was small and dated. And, I think they need a better ventilation system for airing out the steam and fumes from the Hibachi cooking oils. None the less, prices are affordable. Upon leaving the restaurant, I saw that there were people lined up, waiting to get in. So, people must like it!

I went to the restaurant today and I didn't like the service. I was the only black person in there and soon I entered the lady was not comfortable with me. She was looking at me like what I'm doing here lol, I get that a lot specially when I'm around this area. Listen folks, just because you had a bad experience with some black people, that doesn't mean you need to treat all black people nasty or rude. I'm 43 years old and I know when I'm not welcome. It saddened me this is 2025 and people are still being racial profiles and feel not welcome. After she was so rude to me, she took my order and I sat down. I watched how she helped another customer and she was very professional with the next customer but me I received a bad service. Remember I was the only black person in there. Why is this still going on?

It's that time of year, and the place was empty at 6pm. Then at 615pm a bunch of people started coming in and didn't stop till 8pm. They should have had more Cooks. We waited 45 minutes for Habachi to start. We were there for a birthday. Food was good but they added to much salt.

I will give it 2 stars because the service and atmosphere was great. The food didn’t have any flavor to it. I got the hibachi steak and none of it had seasoning . The fried rice wasn’t good. The noodles were the only thing I enjoyed to be honest. No flavor at all with anything else.

Unassuming, small cozy family restaurant with down to earth service. Hibachi food was tasty and fresh with fun entertainment. I took my family for my mother’s 83rd bday. The owner was attentive and brought a piece of cake with a candle and sang to her. Thank you ?

Absolutely fantastic. Don't be put off by the less than glamorous location.

The hibachi was great, Marou (I think). our chef-san, was excellent and the food was utter perfection.

Great service, war and welcoming and extraordinarily good value.

If I was here longer I'd be going back.

Great food and service !

I love this place so much. Great food, great portions, fair price, and fantastic for takeout, too. The fact that the place is so small that I can reach my arms out and touch both sides of the restaurant is kind of charming, and you can tell that the place's family run. Wonderfully friendly staff!!!

The curry and Karsu were excellent. Good service but no ambience.

This place has the best food and service. The owner is the sweetest and always makes sure we are satisfied. Everything is a 10/10!!!!

My husband, son and I are in town for a baseball tournament and we decided to give Akiyo a shot. It’s was an amazing experience with delicious food and great service. The owner was there on a Saturday night which means a lot. Thank you and we will definitely be back.
