Didn't know this place existed but I'm so glad we found it! Food was amazing, especially the tapas. Highly recommend the boquerones (anchovies marinaded plus garlic and parsley) and eggplant chips (mind blowing, have to try to believe it).

I usually hate to review a restaurant after only one visit because anyone can have an "off night." However, we ate here Saturday evening and all did not go well. Reservations were made well in advance as we were a party of 25. Their website says they do events but all we had was one long table with 12 chairs on either side and one on the end in the regular dining room. The atmosphere is striving for quiet romance but the decor doesn't seem to match. The dining room in the back is very dimly lit and is a stark contrast to the very brightly lit bar area in the front of the restaurant. As we all started arriving at 6:45ish for a 7:00 reservation, the server greeted us and took our drink orders as we came in. The drinks were very good. Once everyone arrived, they took our appetizer and food orders. My appetizer, the arugula salad was delicious. I ordered the Paella Negra for my entree. The server said, "the rice is black is that ok?" I said yes. She said, "it has squid ink." I said that's fine. They also warned us the paella dishes can take 35 minutes plus because they're all made to order. Keeping in mind it's now nearly 8:00pm, we were all ok with the time frame. Because we were a large group, we didn't mind the wait and all the entrees came out almost simultaneously which was amazing. Now for the downside. My Paella Negra was not just black rice. It was a huge plate of black soup. Everything was practically swimming in a sea of black liquid. The seafood was also so black, one could not tell which pieces were which except by shape. For $41, I received 3 medium sized shrimp, 4 mussels, a few tiny (maybe bay) scallops, 6-8 rings of calamari, 2 small chunks of salmon, and a pile of COLD crab meat (mostly shredded-no lump meat). The clams that are listed on the menu were not there. Two other guests both ordered the same paella dish and one had such an off flavor, it was inedible. One was perfect. Rather than wait another 30-40 minutes, they shared the good one and sent back the off one. Here's where it gets really interesting. We noticed a bunch of servers hovering around us. They were giving side eyes and heavy sighs if anyone asked for another drink or more water. They seemed to be pretty impatient. They started clearing plates as soon as it appeared someone had taken their last bite. They did bring us dessert menus and a few people ordered desserts resulting in more attitude of impatience and annoyance. Before anyone could even finish their dessert the checks were coming out. By the way, the hours are not posted anywhere on their website or the building but apparently they close at 9:00pm, which explains the attitude at the end of the evening. We were there until about 9:45pm. We had no idea we were past closing.

Great place for family dinner and to enhance great music. Service was great, we had the paella valencia, beef empanadas, croquettes de jamon, tabla variety, octopus, churrasco and eggplant. The paella could use more flavor and less sauce (I've been to Spain so I know the real thing ) but everything else was great! The jamon iberico and all the other meats and cheeses were delicious and I loved that they had actual beer from Spain

Great food! Awesome ambiance! Loved the music and the whole environment. It was very fun to have little bites of great Spanish food!

We had a decent experience. The pros: the tapas were delicious (we had the beet salad, the grilled artichokes, the tortilla and the dates) and the Spanish guitarist was great. Our server was pleasant and the food came out quickly. But that’s about all I can say positive. The cons: the food is wildly overpriced for what you get. The website says upscale, but it is casual at best. We dressed for upscale and were wildly overdressed. They have a decent Spanish wine selection on the menu, but bring your own bottle. When we sat down, the waitress told us they were out of one wine but had the rest. We proceeded to order 3 more bottles and they were out of every single one. We ended up with a pitcher of Sangia instead. Very disappointing, as we love Spanish wine. The women’s restroom was moderately clean, but only 1 out of 3 stalls was functioning. As much as we wanted to love this place, and as good as the appetizers were (the paella was fine - nothing to rave about), we will likely not come again.Dietary restrictions: They had a lot of gluten free options, which was nice.
