Café Des Artistes Reviews
What a lovely picturesque restaurant! The food was fantastic and service wonderful!
Very disappointing. I ordered mussels, and I told the waiter the bowl for shells with the cocktail fork, spoon and wipes was dirty. He took it back but said said that’s just breadcrumbs, that when they run out of bread baskets, they use those bowls. About 1/3 of my mussels were inedible, either bad or uncooked. My husband’s beef bourguignon was good. No one checked on whether we wanted another glass of wine or water. All glasses had been emptied. I will not return.

Café Des Artistes is a highly recommended French restaurant located on the waterfront, offering a beautiful view of the marina. The ambiance is described as spectacular, and the service is consistently top-notch. The menu features excellent dishes, including favorites like mussels, duck, and the highly praised French onion soup. The soups are special treats that vary by day, and the escargot are fabulous. The chocolate mousse is a must-try for dessert. There was an instance of overcooked fish, but this is rare. The attentive owner is present, ensuring great care for customers. This restaurant is a wonderful dining option, especially for those willing to venture outside their usual area. Diners can expect fresh meals, including the popular lobster roll and Dover sole, alongside a great selection of wines like Sancerre. It is just lovely, and guests will not regret their visit.
