Our group went for Taco Tuesday and ordered almost every type of taco. All were skimpy with little flavor. Tableside guacamole was prepared by a very glum waitress. The guacamole, of which we only ate half, was cleared before we were asked if we wanted to take the rest home with us. Some plates were cleared before all guests had finished eating. Not the flavor bang or energy we were expecting.

My wife and I had dinner here. She had tacos and I had chicken enchiladas. There is a charge for chips and salsa which ok, and our meal prices would have been fair for a normal portion, but the portion size is small. My wife's taco meal consisted of two soft tacos with shells having a three inch diameter, and the filling the diameter of a half dollar and looked to be just as thin. We will not go back to Calaveras Cafe.
