So as the orders came out, the one that was not cooked was last was not what she asked for the lobsters in the fried clans were very, very good. The clam chowder was amazing overall, the way it was very slow, but still very happy with the way it turned out
Always a great meal here, Chowderheads never disappoints! New ownership, same great menu & staff. If you love seafood New England style, do not miss this spot.
Food, service, atmosphere were exemplary!

Lobster pie was more a casserole. But it was loaded w lobster and a rich filling. Came with 2 sides. It's a lot of food ! We also ordered the blackened scallops. My husband loved them. It's a family restaurant. Not large in size but big on friendly service and great food for the money.
I came here because I read they received awards for their lobster roll, but my hot lobster roll was insanely over cooked. It was so chewy and tough it was hardly edible. Honestly do not recommend at all.

Great food. We were the first table there for dinner and the waitress got my order wrong. She made it right and the food was excellent. Not much of an “ambiance” in a strip mall restaurant.
It's difficult to find food from New England down here in Florida. The food was great! Clam cakes were the closest we could find to what we are used to in Rhode Island. Great quality food!!
I was in the mood for a lobster roll and saw they had won best lobster roll for over ten straight years. I noticed on the menu that they had Rhode Island Clam Chowder, which I had never tried. The chowder was delicious and did not taste like either New England or Manhattan clam chowder. The lobster rolls are served chilled or Connecticut style. I prefer them warm and ordered the Connecticut style. The lobster roll was worth the hype. There was plenty of delicious lobster meat and the toasted toll held in the melted butter along with the meat. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I went on a Thursday for lunch and they were able to get me a table without waiting. I would definitely recommend reservations if you are going there for dinner.

I’ve had Togo orders more than once here, always left a tip and have been let down more than once now. Ordered a clam strip roll and was not given any tartar sauce, poorly fried clams and a really bad roll. Whole thing was tasteless. Secondly we got a cup of chowder and to my dismay, I learned they just scooped the top of the chowder so there wasn’t any clams in it and it was ice cold. Was seriously let down and I will not be coming back.

$43 for a Lobster roll… I could get a lobster dinner for that price at fancy restaurant!! We were sticker shocked at this. Yes the food was good but not worth THAT much. We won’t be back until the prices are a bit more reasonable. Come on guys….

I’ve been there twice, both times the experience was the same. Service was good not necessarily great. The clam chowder was above average, but not the best I’ve ever had. I would still recommend it though. Their Side of corn cornbread with whatever house spread they served it with was outstanding. The disappointment came with the lobster roll. The lobster roll was $43 and to put it into context. It was on one piece of regular loaf bread that took me five bites to consume. At $43 it was way overpriced and average at best. This is the reason I rarely eat out anymore. Since Covid restaurants have jacked up their prices and reduced their portions. I don’t mind paying good money for great food, but this was good money for average food and very small portions.

Absolutely delicious! Really leans on the New England seafood House. I had the fried oysters and they were tremendous and very fresh. My staff was very helpful and friendly.

My husband and I love Chowderheads, however a recent trip made me rethink that. We went to eat (very good, very expensive) and ordered a quart of lobster bisque to go. Got home, all bisque, no lobster. $32 00 for a quart of lobster bisque and no visible lobster in the bisque. Not again 😩
