Mrs. Smokeys Real Pit Bar-B-Q

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on our road trip home. We Google BBQ in south Fl and came across Mrs. Smokeys. I ordered the Cornbread Lasagna. It's under the started menu. I chose that as my meal. It was enough to feed 2 or three adults. I couldn't finish it. However each bite was nicely flavored. If we had a Mrs Smokey in Jax, we would visit again.

The food was edible, but so is cardboard. This is a small business so I would encourage you to try it for yourself. My taste buds are not your taste buds, but if I'm in the mood for ribs this will not be my 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th,or 5th choice. The staff and service was actually extremely nice. The food needed help.

I keep coming to this very special place since 2015 and I love this welcoming place and the fantastic food. The full rack of the baby ribs with the delicious coleslaw salad is the must. This is some of the best BBQ I've had, with tender ribs and brisket, not to mention the absolutely amazing, fried biscuit. The seasoning on the ribs was great and gave a nice smokey flavour and the tater tots are crispy and delicious.

I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great tasting meal in the area. Plus, it's honestly worth a bit of a drive if you're not in the area.

I just ate there again this afternoon and had the lunch special of chopped barbecue beef and coleslaw, including a drink and homemade pecan pie. It was terrific, and better than Nevs. It is family owned and operated, and Mrs. Smokey formerly had a place in New York at 97th and Amsterdam . Don’t miss this place.

We ordered 20 sandwiches for the guys at work and they were fighting for the leftovers! We ordered pulled chicken and pulled pork, they raved about the food and the manager was super helpful helping me set it up. Food was ready when I arrived for pick up, which I totally appreciated
