Our server forgot to put our appetizer in and everything was coming out very slow. Not very satisfied
Seated med four 8 pm reservation. Prompt service. Husband loved his Chicken Sinatra. I had the Eggplant Rollatini, which was just ok. Pistachio Arturo for dessert. Overall a good experience. I was coming down with a cold so I think another visit would improve my rating. I would try again.
Not our first time there. Attractive, traditional northern Italian food. Servers are humorless and stiff. $40.00 for a piece of flounder over overly garlicky spinach. Bread is the worst. Desserts are good. $6.00 for a Diet Coke. With so many restaurants in the area, you can do better. Our party of 5 all agreed, food so so.
Excellent food and outside dining is nice, but indoors is quite loud . Also, wait staff was overworked and so we didn't get great service. But I would still go back.
As usual, food delicious, service with Michael wonderful. My go to restaurant. Consistently great.
We eat here often and it is usually great. This time for Thanksgiving we were very disappointed. While the service was great as always the traditional Thanksgiving meal was far short of the usual meals. Over priced at $50, small portions, no gravy and lukewarm warm. My wife had salmon and that was very good. We will go back but not for Thanksgiving.
Being aware that it was Thanksgiving we expected the service to be a little off - but unfortunately it was more than that- it seemed our waiter was overbooked with tables, he barely came over, there were no busers that helped our plates sat dirty on the table for a while, everything took forever. We never got the mashed potatoes with the turkey dinners, the risotto tasted so artificial, the red snapper special was so bland and not hot, the quality of the small shrimp were slimey, we asked for filet with no sauce and they smothered it with sauce- it was overall not a good experience!!
Shared a salad...$17 + $4 sharing charge was not worth it...salad was skimpy...main meal was great...will not bother with salad next time
Excellent food and service. They really made my husband and I and our friends feel special. Can't wait to go back.
We always try to sit outside if possible because we have found it has always been uncomfortablely cold to sit inside.

Food was great. Service was fantastic. Jenny was super helpful and very attentive. Great atmosphere. Will come here again for sure.
The food was delicious and correctly portioned. The service was quick and the drinks were well prepared.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Portobello with our server Ginny M. It was so pleasant having someone who knew the menu so well and helped us make the decision to have the Saltimboca - excellent choice! as we both thoroughly enjoyed! With so many seafood restaurants, it was a very nice change for a wonderful Italian dinner! Also the other servers were spot on with everything! Highly recommend!
Portobello is our local favorite for special occasions. Consistently fabulous dining, friendly, hardworking servers and kind management. Always offer great menu specials. We celebrated my Birthday with great entrees including great crusty bread, Eggplant Rollatini, Fettuccine Alfredo, Halibut, and Grilled Salmon. For dessert the Ricotta Cheesecake is the Best around. We love it here at Portobello!
