We had an awesome experience at The Salty Zebra. Our server, Kaylah M , was on top of every course, chef Michael’s entrees were absolutely amazing including cocktails/ appetizers and desserts. Everything was delicious and spot on. I’m going back soon!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our server Kaylah M was absolutely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and made the evening even better. We were especially impressed that chef Mike delivered our meals and came back to the table to ask how everything tasted! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it. My sister even said this is the best restaurant in Tequesta!

Food, service, vibes all incredible! Chef Michael is working wonders back there, he did something remarkable with the yellowtail. Highly recommend the pistachio whipped feta appetizer. Their oysters are also super fresh and flavorful. My wife raved about the curry and the bruschetta as well. Personally can’t wait to go back and try the duck or the lamb ragout.

Also really, really love that they source everything locally and tell you exactly where it’s coming from. So many places shovel out slop from CBI or Sysco, it’s nice to support a local restaurant that supports local farms. You will taste the difference, and I enjoy knowing that I can trust what I am putting in my body.

We recently hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner at The Salty Zebra, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We had the entire restaurant to ourselves, which made for a warm, private, and relaxed celebration. The food was outstanding—every dish came out perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor.

The servers were attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure every guest was well taken care of without ever feeling rushed. The bar staff also did an amazing job keeping drinks flowing and customizing cocktails for our group.

We’re so grateful to the management and the entire team for helping make the evening such a wonderful experience for our family and friends. If you're looking for a place to host a special event—or just enjoy a great meal in a great atmosphere—The Salty Zebra is the perfect choice!

We visited Salty Zebra for my husband’s birthday. We’ve been fans of the restaurant since early days as Casa Caña… we have always felt the attention to the food and cocktails was thoughtful and delicious. Last night was our first meal with chef Mickluth at the helm. We were blown away by the dishes we had. I wish I had taken photos… we ordered the vegetable salad, mushroom pâté, black grouper and steak au Poivre. We also had multiple desserts, key lime tart, the chocolate (dreamy), bread pudding and a special seasonal pumpkin dessert featuring a darling pumpkin molded and made of hard chocolate which you break into (hated to crack it open!) that is filled with creamy fluffiness.

The flavor and quality of our food was next level. Beautifully plated and the portions were perfect.
Love that Chef Mickluth brought his beautiful dishes to the table, he was delivering treasures. We travel often and always love dining in noted and highly rated restaurants and I can honestly say our meal was James Beard/Michelin level.

We are extremely fortunate to have this level of food/chef in Tequesta. I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes and seasonal creations. Bravo SZ!

Everything was perfect here. Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations. The kitchen brought out little appetizers for everyone to try and the chef came out to talk to our table for a bit making sure everything was great. Its a very cute place inside and a very nice feel, and the food was amazing. I had the Colorado Lamb ragout which was soo delicious. And the pumpkin dessert is such a wonderful flavor and plated so expertly. Definitely visit and make reservation, you won't be disappointed

Salty Zebra absolutely delivers.

From start to finish, the experience was exceptional and thoughtfully executed. The grouper and snapper dinner was unreal—perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh, and balanced in a way that lets the quality of the fish speak for itself. Easily one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in the area.

The mushroom pâté with Johnny bread deserves special mention. Sublime is the right word—deep, earthy flavors, beautifully smooth, and paired flawlessly with the warm Johnny bread. It’s the kind of appetizer you keep thinking about long after the meal is over.

And then the dessert: a key lime pie with a pineapple gelée crust—bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced between tart and sweet. An inspired twist that elevated a classic and ended the meal on a high note.

A special nod to the new chef, who checked on us throughout the evening and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s clear something special is starting to stir in that kitchen—there’s confidence, creativity, and care behind every plate.

Salty Zebra strikes the rare balance of feeling both elevated and approachable, with dishes that are memorable for all the right reasons. We’ll absolutely be back.

Food was absolutely immaculate. From the appetizers all the way through the dessert. The duck was cooked perfectly and the lamb pasta was melt in your mouth amazing. The pumpkin ganache dessert was gorgeous and delicious 10/10. Will be back! Everything is fairly priced.

If you haven't been here, you must. If you had, go again because you know the food and service are fantastic.

Chef Michael and server Mickela both went above and beyond on both the food and services. Thank you for making a regular night to a night tha we can talk about.

We had a burger, delicious.
Lamb ragout - superb
Brussel sprout- amazing
Ambiance - calming and coastal clean

We had the escargot that was a little salty for my taste and chef Michael compensate with a dessert on the house. The dessert was so top notch. Thank you for going out of your way.

Will come again and will bring family and friends.

We had an amazing dinner here tonight. Full moon out and an art event at the Lighthouse Art Center. The chef is talented; every dish had complex layers of flavors. I’m so happy we have this restaurant right in Village of Tequesta!
