Called the phone number tonight, the person who answered said they are no longer operating the cafe at the golf course and knew nothing further. We went to the clubhouse. There is a limited menu in operation, under a different name. Service was good, we both had fish and chips (grouper) and a beer. Fries were excellent, my fish had some tough parts which I found odd, but maybe I just don't know about grouper. Nice view of the course, plenty of tables, I hope the new operation can make a go of it. Some golf course bars can be a hidden gem.

Sat at a table for 20 to 25 minutes without even being acknowledged despite the fact that the place was pretty much empty. Finally walked to the bar and ordered a burger. Burger was mediocre. Wait staff never once offered to refill my water glass. I don’t recommend this establishment.

A hidden GEM in the middle of an island, basically NOWHERE! Wow open until 7pm every day!?!?!?! Plus a full bar, delicious food and MR ABDON is amazing!??

Our office holiday party was held here - beautiful venue, friendly staff. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor.

I really enjoyed my lunch at this place. It is located in the middle of golf fields, giving this place a very relaxing and quite atmosphere. Our waiter was very sweet too.

I have been dealt with very poorly by one of the managers, the customer service was offensive and very rude. As a customer, I have never been treated with the lack of respect that was showed. Manager spoke to my group in a demeaning manner. I am city of Miami-Dade resident and I have played at Crandon numerous times, the course is great, but after this encounter I will think twice about returning. After complaining about my experience, I never received any follow up resolution to my complaint.

This facility is definitely one of the higher end facilities and courses in South Florida. I highly recommend getting the Patron card for some miami dade courses and using the free round here at Crandon, it practically pays for its self. The course sits right on the water at key biscayne and is in pretty solid shape. You do have to pay for a bucket at the range separate from your round. The actual course plays pretty tough, but is a fun experience nonetheless. Water doesn't play for a lot of holes, but there's trees and mangroves usually, so there's still things to look out for. Hole 8 is one of my favorite holes. It is a par 3 that play about 120-130 from the whites but the hole sits way above you on a hill. The green is pretty flat, the hard part is getting up there, because if you miss off any of the edges, it will be hard to get up and down. Last time I played here, we did have a problem with the ranger who came around to complain of our pace of play, but we actually were having to wait a lot of the time for an older and slower group in front of us. It was rather annoying to have him come at us in a rude way for something that wasn't our fault, and I tried to let him know that but we were ignored. Other than that, everyone is pretty friendly. The final few holes of the course have a breathtaking view of the Miami skyline. Pictures don't do it justice. I recommend stopping and soaking it in. Definitely one of the better courses in South Florida and I recommend you give it a shot!

Pretty poorly maintained course and pace of play was absurd. On the first tee box the starter said to play "ready golf". He clearly didn't relay the message as we were waiting at every tee box for at least 10-15 minutes. What a joke. Left after 14 holes clocking in at 5.5 hours. Never played a full 18 holes for longer than 4 hours before.

Every time we come here we are greeted by the friendliest waiter, Luis Vergara (sp?). He makes us feel very welcome. This restaurant makes us feel like we're on vacation. Great ambience good food and friendly service. Luis is a credit to his company. We look forward to coming here often because of him.

Nice track but horribly run. One person working in Pro Shop. Takes more than 5 minutes per person to process each person on line. Has been this way forever. They never learn. The customer comes last. Clearly a government run operation. Suggest you go elsewhere

Lovely tough course with nice facilities. Rates are high for non residents of Florida but oh well. Some great views of downtown Miami from some of the fairways. Lots of iguanas, big ones too.

Very well-kept public golf course here in key Biscayne. The greens are extremely difficult but very subtle. We had a lot of wind and a number of holes and of course there are a great many water hazards you need to carry. Overall it’s an extremely challenging course that’s in good condition but also extremely expensive for what it is. The guest greens fee is 175 and the club rentals are 10-year-old Wilson’s which is kind of embarrassing at this price point. The restaurant serve some good sandwiches for your proverbial 19th hole. I’ll plan to go back next time I’m here.

I was so hungry, got there at 6:30, and they had already locked the doors. Not great.
