I been meaning to write this since this past Saturday. we drove from davie with my family, heard so much about this place and the park and honestly so worth the drive. From my waitress to the food and atmosphere so great. a huge thank you to my waitress made me feel like home, myself a French speaker she made my life easy to order and understand what to order for my kids and the whole family. my kids are asking me to go back again mainly for the waitress suggestion on their drinks " virgin Pina colada" they absolutely loved it . myself for the first time I tried her suggestion " miami news" I was honestly amazed. food wise I will definitely recommend the tuna tartar and the guacamole with chips great choice again thank you to my French speaker waitress( sorry forgot her name). overall it is an amazing place great for kids and family, i can't wait myself for the week end and my kids have no games to bring them there again. Thank youParking: when you go to the park you pay $8 and that gives you access to all.Kid-friendliness: the cleat is around a park the beach great location. food amazing don't forget about trying their tapas and beautiful sunset.

Where do I start? Should have looked at their low Google rating before going. Went on a Sunday, place was basically empty (we know now why). There was no live music as advertised. Upon walking into this fully outdoor sand patio bar we were greeted by the security guard who told us: "the whole place is infested with sand flies, sea lice and chiggers, you will need a lot of Benadryl and possibly go to urgent care after". He proceeded to show us his horrible rash on his arms and legs (very inappropriate). After we were seated no waiters for an hour. No problem we went to the bar to order our overpriced and watered down drinks. Beware there is NO food here, there are 3 total appetizers available - "fish dip" that is made with copious amounts of Mayo and random canned fish that comes with 4 saltine crackers for $15, ceviche that is questionably warm for $15 and a "charcuterie board" consisting of 4 slices of supermarket cheese, 4 crackers and 4 slices of stale pepperoni for $20. The waiters are extremely rude and pretend they don't speak English when you ask them a question when I clearly heard them speaking perfect English in the back. Good to know there is only one working bathroom for the entire place that holds a single person, even when the place was empty the line to that bathroom was 12 persons deep. At that point we decided to leave to get actual food and normal drinks when the security guard and a middle aged gentleman dressed like a frat boy ("the owner") came up to us and said that the children were not allowed to get up from their seats and that we had to vacate the premises if they cannot stay seated at all times. For a very casual patio type establishment that welcomes questionable behavior by staff it is very odd they are so anti-family and anti-kids. Nowhere it says ADUTLS ONLY. Do not waste your time and money here, grab a beach chair and a cold one and enjoy the sunset just outside this bar on public property and avoid the bites and obnoxious people.Vegetarian options: no vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: no dietary restriction accommodatedKid-friendliness: this place does not allow kids, 21+ only, not family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: not wheelchair accessible

What a cute little gem!!! It's a must go to when you want to relax have a drink and watch the beautiful sunset at the end of the day!!! The tapas are very good, the smoked fish dip is delicious. Staff is great and they know how to make a good mojito. Will definitely recommend The Cleat to all my friends and family when visiting Miami.

Service at the bar is not great at all & bar staff arent friendly. Waited 10mins and got no service for myself or the table. Will ignore you & get catty if you ask to place an order. Happened twice already from the 3 times I went specifically from the Russian blonde lady, she needs more training & less mean. Great restaurants like this one has great service.Objectively, drinks are great, enjoyed the location. No happy hour but dont let it hold you back from a great view. Portions are small & expensive like tapas style, so you’re paying for the experience and atmosphere. In short, park far away since the Park blocks parking closest to the restaurant, walk .5 mile, get no service, walk back in traffic. I suggest local favorites in the Grove like Level6, Botanico, Mayfair Grill are delightful & friendly service.Parking: You’ll have to walk a .5 mile during packed days & hot to walk. It’s a trek if it’s your first time. Stick to the Grove or Miracle Mile

The jewel in the crown. I came to The Cleat with a party of 6 for drinks, appetizers and sunset. All were delicious and the service and atmosphere were terrific. I started with a Mojito, which was very good, then took my friends advice and got a bit more adventurous wuth a Miami News -- yum!!! Strongly encourage you to try the tuna tartar, the fish dip, and the guac & chips too. We'll be back!!

A very nice place and a spectacular view, but the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced, a woman with a terrible attitude, my advice, if you are going to see the sunset, do not enter the cleat, pass by one side... very bad experience

Best place to catch a drink and watch the sunset in Miami. This is my go-to place to bring visitors from out of town. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but that's to be expected given the location.
