Such a nice place to go for a beer on Friday, see the sunset and enjoy some live music. Did I mentioned that the prices are really good?

Sunset Sips and Crafty Bites: The Wetlab at the University of Miami's Marine Campus Nestled on the University of Miami's marine campus, adjacent to the Miami Seaquarium on Virginia Key, The Wetlab inside the Salt Waterfront restaurant is a hidden gem that combines the laid-back charm of a craft beer bar with the stunning backdrop of Miami's scenic beauty. Operated primarily by graduate students, The Wetlab opens its doors Wednesday through Friday around 5 pm, offering a perfect midweek escape. The main allure of this unique watering hole lies in its unrivaled view of Key Biscayne and Biscayne Bay, making it a contender for the title of having the best sunset views in all of Miami. As you enter, the maritime-themed decor sets the tone for a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The staff, predominantly composed of knowledgeable graduate students, adds a friendly and approachable touch to the experience. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or a casual drinker, The Wetlab caters to all, providing a diverse selection of local craft breweries on tap and in cans. The beer menu, a highlight in itself, showcases the rich variety of Miami's craft beer scene. From hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts, there's a brew to suit every palate. And if you find yourself with an appetite, fear not--they offer some of the typical bar food fashion. Or you cold walk over to the Salt Waterfront Restaurant side and enjoy a meal from a menu offering a tempting array of bites that pair perfectly with your chosen libation. The true magic of The Wetlab, however, unfolds on the outdoor patio. As the sun begins its descent over the bay, patrons are treated to a mesmerizing display of colors, transforming the sky into a canvas of warm hues. The combination of good company, great beer, and the breathtaking view makes The Wetlab an ideal spot to unwind and connect with friends. In essence, The Wetlab is more than just a craft beer bar; it's an experience that captures the essence of Miami's beauty. Whether you're a student, a local resident, or a visitor, this hidden gem offers a unique and unforgettable setting to savor a cold brew while witnessing one of the city's most spectacular sunsets. Cheers to The Wetlab--a must-visit for those in search of a perfect blend of nature's beauty and craft beer culture in Miami.

Amazing secluded beer house in Miami. Nestled in the U of Miami marine science lab, it’s the perfect, calm, welcoming place to have a beer, overlook the ocean, and watch the sunset!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian nachos (free with every pitcher!)

Great place to have a drink but eat somewhere else. Honestly I loved being next to the water and it also makes for a cool environment on a hot day. It's hard to find an outside area where you won't sweat in Miami. However, we came after work and we were hungry and I just didn't enjoy any of the food. The green goddess was inedible to me and the nachos were just a giant blob and we really couldn't split them apart. The people there were super chill and it was easy to get a glass poured. I would definitely recommend this spot to chill and drink and enjoy the views - just don't come hungry.
