I got the lunch special of blackened shrimp, French fries, and cheese grits. This was absolutely amazing. I got this order to go and it was packaged perfectly where nothing got soggy. I highly recommend to get the shrimp blackened. The lady at the front was extremely kind, I think her name was Emily.

After a long day of tackling the ol’ “honey-do” list, my wife and I decided we’d earned ourselves a good meal out. We rolled into Cedar River Seafood, and right from the start, it just felt welcoming. The host greeted us right away and got us seated — no waiting around, which was already a win.

Our waitress, Harper, came over with a big smile, took our drink order, and offered up some appetizer ideas (which we appreciated because by that point, I was ready to eat anything that wasn’t on the to-do list). When she brought our drinks, we went ahead and ordered dinner — she even had a few suggestions that turned out to be spot-on.

Salads came out first — crisp, cold, and fresh — and before we could even finish them, out came the main course. I went big with steak, lobster, and a baked potato. My wife had shrimp tacos that looked too good to share (trust me, I tried). The presentation was top-notch, and shout-out to Troy in the kitchen for nailing my steak and lobster perfectly. Everything had great flavor — you could tell they really care about the food here.

Harper checked on us throughout the meal, making sure we were good without hovering — it’s a small detail, but it makes a huge difference.

All in all, this place never disappoints. We come here probably twice a month, and it’s always consistently great food, friendly people, and a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for seafood done right (and a break from your honey-do list).

Decided to try this restaurant while I was camping at a nearby State Park. Glad I did! The service and food were great. I had the fried shrimp and oysters. Both were lightly breaded and delicious. The green beans and hush puppies were equally great. I will definitely return when I’m in the area!

Great food and service! The owner, Adam, is a great guy—always checking in on his customers to make sure everything’s perfect. The whole staff is fantastic, and Princess May May is one of our absolute favorites!

Absolutely delightful. The fish (mahi) was tender and moist and very tasty. It could have used a little more blackening seasoning and spice but top notch. All of the sides were divine. The hush puppies were better than any I’ve had. The fries were nicely battered and flavorful as opposed to bland restaurant depot fish and chips type fries. Great mashed potato’s and side salad. Huge cups of soda.

I visit this spot about twice a year when I'm in town seeing family, and it's consistently a highlight. The food has always been reliably good—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. There was a brief period when they switched up the fries to a puffed potato style that wasn’t quite my taste, but I’m happy to report the classic fries are back and everything’s tasting great again. It’s the kind of place that feels familiar and dependable, and I always look forward to coming back.
